Default SNAD filed by buyer! limited account

i sold a printer to a buyer later finding out the box had gotten wet in my storage unit and i didn't want to sell it to him. Buyer refused a refund so i said let me see if i can get a replacement, my dad had the same printer and he said its just sitting around, told the buyer i have a replacement for him he was happy. then the day after i ship it he says its broken and had no accessories and was opened which is total bs! the printer was brand new with all accessories. what can i do my paypal is on hold and im going to lose at least 40 bucks refund from usps and reversed bank transfer. I know there is no way the printer was broken shipped via fedex packed well.

any advice?

Thank You

If the box got wet, why not just send them the item in a different box if only the box was damaged?

If they file NASD with paypal, your only choice is take back what they send you. They have to provide delivery confirmation with paypal. Whether you get back an empty box or what you originally sent does not matter. They will get a refund if they can confirm a delivery confirmation to your address listed with paypal.

And if you shipped Fedex and THEY damaged it........file a claim. They have up to $100 free insurance.

I have used Paypal & Ebay for 12 years now and unfortunately, the buyer is always right in their eyes.

it kills me that this happens....but it does and pp & eb do not care about your loss one little bit,its the way it is,but one day they will wish they did things a little different,
there are alternatives out there,amazon...ebid just to mention a couple, google it up man,you dont have to deal with either of these fools in future,

Your screwed. Sorry to say so but your Screwed. For future reference any buyer that refuses a refund after you explain your situation to them is a buyer that you DO NOT want to deal with. Refund them anyway! then cancal the auction. I believe you still have the option to cancal the auction so that you won't get negative feedback from an unethical buyer.

Him not wanting a refund is very obvious that that was his play to get the item and the money. I HATE THESE... you know what buyers.

Amazon is the same. There's no difference.

Well... ebid... Don't even try. Your items either don't sell or ebid takes down the listing without even letting you know while still charging the site fees. Terrible place to sell.

Ask what is missing and ship it to him...Maybe that will work...I would say call him and speak to him...

make sure you ask him to send the item back recorded delivery before you can refund any money, this might put him off if hes talkin sh1t,if not at least you get it back and have proof hes tellin the truth.....never just refund and let someone keep your goods unless its like a £2 pair of gloves thats not going to make much difference, this person could be trying to con you,i would fight this guy all the way,you wont win if it goes to paypal to decide but between you both he might give it up as a bad job, scamming .......
