I can still receive money. the things I cant do is close account, send or require payment, and take my money out.

mantisinc 05-28-2008 09:23 AM

You will need to just send them photos of your stock if you cannot provide them with supplier info.

paypal limited my account with 2k on account.

Hi,

about a month ago, i made new pp account using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info and veritified.
Everything was ok.
I tried to make payment thru e-check and pp took money from my bank account.
But during this processing time, paypal limited my account to vertified location by phone. So i did it.
But during the pp's review, e-check cancled becasue pp acct was under the limitation. Once pp acct restored, e-check still cancled and pp held my money $2k. I tried to withdraw to bank acct but not they limit again and i need to provide SSN for restore pp.

What should i need to do right now? Do i need to enter ⊗⊗⊗⊗ SSN?
Or is there are anyway i can get money back?

Who is this so called 'chris character' i think he was banned from here just after i signed up

ebaykilla 05-29-2008 11:05 AM

You can call them an tell them that you refuse to give up your SS# due to identity theft fears. Ask them for another method to prove your identity. If that fails, you wont see that money for 180 days. DON'T GIVE ⊗⊗⊗⊗ SS#! They check and compare those 100%.

thelizardking 05-29-2008 11:06 AM

He was this dude with no life who purposely gave false info and ripped people off on this board, once he was banned many people came forward about his deceits...his name on here was Chris Hansen

mantisinc 05-29-2008 01:39 PM

No, stop lying guys, Chris was an honest, trustworthy person who's aim was to help people in online communities.

OP, it's very likely your paypal will get limited. It's a mandatory thing now they do to check your identity.

2eXclusiive 05-29-2008 02:10 PM

wait, i read on other threads that this chris guy was a good person, so whats the deal? is he or is he not?

divine422 05-29-2008 02:28 PM

I always wanted to know what happened to Chris...

..and yea.. chances are you will get limited especially if your account has never been limited for the initial review. Also don't be scared of getting limited, embrace it. Its inevitable.

2eXclusiive 05-29-2008 05:13 PM

it WILL happen its GUARANTEED to happen, don't think you won't get limited because you will, UNLESS you use the paypal account to buy or if you recieve small amounts of money like $5,$10...etc nothing big.

PP account limited after receiving Payment.

this morning i received a payment from a buyer using PayPal after an Ebay auction by checking my email.
i didn't even open my new paypal account yet, after 1 hour i checked my email and there is : your paypal account is limited.
so i provided them all the infos needed .phone , SS , and the tracking infos.
my question is : how long they will release my funds if they confirm the shipping.
and is this for every new PAyPal account or no ?
i received $375 from the buyer?

The problem was you didn't open and verify your account before accepting the money, if you provided everything they should lift it in about 7 days. Also calling them always helps.

SuperBowl 05-30-2008 03:46 PM

no, my paypal account is verified and confirmed.
what i mean is : i got limited even before i entered to my PayPal account to print the label.
i think that PayPal limited the new account after receiving the Payment.

thelizardking 05-30-2008 03:54 PM

Oh, ok...was this your first payment received? Im guessing its probably the amount. On new accounts they Limit once you "bump" your sales up...but once you get the Limit Lifted you have alot more freedom the only thing you really have to worry about is disputes.

SuperBowl 05-30-2008 03:56 PM

yes.my first sale . but i passed the phone verification using AIM and everything..
if they release my funds earlier can i withdraw my money or no?

thelizardking 05-30-2008 04:08 PM

Once the Limit is Lifted you will be able to withdraw

PayPal screwed me!

Hi. Well, I have two PayPal accounts which I'm using to accept payments from my auctions and both are verified with all information except a ssn. Well, yesterday I got an e-mail from PayPal saying that my account showed high risk and that they need to confirm ssn's to continue and unlimit me. So, what am I to do, both accounts have made up info? I thought of everything and haven't came up with a solution. One account has $1200 and the other $1400. I'm fuming mad. I don't want to call them because the accounts have two different names and everything and they limited both of them so who do I say I'm? Thanks.

divine422 06-03-2008 05:45 PM

take a number, you are screwed. wait 180 days to get your funds or refund your buyers and get them to send you the money another way.

aspkin 06-03-2008 08:21 PM

Well, there have been members here who have used their relatives SSN who live with them and it's worked. Some have been able to persuade Paypal from needing a SSN. Letting them know that they don't feel comfortable giving that information out. Paypal usually limits when you make more then around $1400 a day. Or you increase your sales too fast; you go from a couple hundred per day to a thousand a day. They don't like that and think you're out to scam someone. Next time, you have to take it much slower then what you're doing, or spread your money out over more accounts. And remember Paypal will link you just the same way eBay does. They usually won't do anything about it until a limit occurs, but they will usually know when you have more then one account.

jerkyboy1 06-03-2008 10:41 PM

Well. I called PayPal and told them that I didn't want to give them my ssn and they said that there was nothing that they could do then. They said that my account would remain limited and in 180days they will e-mail me to receive the money. The thing is I have had an account in that situation before and it said when I logged in that in 180days I would be able to recieve the funds, well with this account I don't have that message it just says account limited because of ssn. My question is, how do I know that they are just telling me that on the phone and then in six months they will say well you have to wait another six months since it doesn't state that in my account?

jerkyboy1 06-03-2008 10:45 PM

Well I just checked my e-mail and I got this message.

Dear ************,

No point in really posting this because everyone has gotten this e-mail but what the hell i need to complain too.

GreenBean 06-04-2008 12:07 AM

Make this a valuable lesson. If you have to use paypal in future, NEVER let too much money
come into your account. As aspkin said, take it slowly or even speak to paypal & advise them of funds being received. Otherwise sooner rather than later get a merchant account.

jerkyboy1 06-04-2008 12:28 AM

my first problem was that I was waiting in the mail for the six digit # to confirm my location which paypal sent 10 days ago and it never arrived....They claim it takes 3-6days but it never showed so I couldn't at that point withdraw my money and then today bam the ssn is needed. So, the way things are going the letter in the mail from PayPal will probably show up tomorrow. I called them and told them I wanted to close my account and they said on December the 2nd i can get my money.

by the way. What will a merchant account do? You have to accept PayPal now with eBay and 90% of buyers will not use anything else. Is there a way to do this or am i missing something?

jerkyboy1 06-04-2008 12:30 AM

Also, the two ebay accounts linked to the paypal accounts state this when i login:

Attention eBay Member!

During a recent screening of your PayPal and eBay accounts, we observed activity that is unusual or potentially high risk. We have limited access to your account(s) until additional security measures can be completed.

To resolve this issue, please log in to your PayPal account and go to the “Resolution Center”. The Resolution Center subtab is located on the Account Overview page between the History and Profile subtab.

To log in to your PayPal account, please go to: https://www.paypal.com/

These accounts are in perfect standing and have never been vero'd.........so I can't list on these accounts and I'm up creek.

jerkyboy1 06-04-2008 05:33 PM

Hi. Well, with my other paypal account they now want supplier invoices which I don't have, so, what should I do about the invoices?

jerkyboy1 06-05-2008 06:22 PM

hi. yeah, i did made some unbelievable looking invoices, if they don't buy them then man they must have geniuses over there at PayPal. Also, when they ask for bank statement and cc statement and all that information all they do is look at the papers correct? they don't actually call or do any background checking on those papers I assume? thanks.

yogarelax 06-06-2008 07:31 PM

So,like, when you google for this info... what do you ask??? generate invoices? generate..BLANK invoices???

jerkyboy1 06-07-2008 07:53 PM

If you want to create invoices go to Microsoft's site and lookup invoice templates they will show up in excel. Hundreds will come up and you can pick the one that will work best with you. Obviously from there you can edit it and make it more believable while adding in supplier details or not and inventory. After you create your invoice you print it out and then scan it into the computer for it will have miscellaneous markings and junk that will make it look original.;)

jerkyboy1 06-07-2008 07:57 PM

hey stealthman. I tried to send you a pm but your inbox is full; try this link below and you will be set!

Ballsack 06-08-2008 11:38 AM

This person gave ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info so unless he can change his address he'll never see that money after 180 days. On another note I read from somewhere that paypal is trying to keep people's money longer than 180 days thru a loophole in their policy.

godihatepaypal 06-08-2008 12:39 PM

what if your limited , and then you give them the SS# and stuff? do they still keep your money or will they give it back sooner or later?

jerkyboy1 06-08-2008 09:22 PM

That might be true about the 180days. Whenever an account of mine in the past meaning over a year ago got the 180notice it would state it in the account when you login. Recently, 2 of my accounts got limited since I didn't want to provide ssn and I got the e-mail from payPal stating the discontinuation of business together. Well, in neither of the accounts it doesn't state nothing about the 180days so it is possible they are trying new scamming techniques as of late to hold the money longer.

Probably not... but try and let us know how it goes...

aznb0i 06-09-2008 01:18 PM

No my paypal is all verified but they want the ss#.

thelizardking 06-09-2008 01:33 PM

tell them you have been the victim of identity theft and you don't give out your SS#..it worked for me, try emailing appeal@paypal.com and/or calling them...

godihatepaypal 06-10-2008 09:00 AM

Limited yet again

so this time i even got verified, added a bank account: WaMu got a simons gift card and linked that, did everything but let them call me and give them my SS#, i accept ONE PAYMENT of 150 bucks and all the sudden my account is on lockdown like i just stole two hundred and fifty thousand dollars from the sick children's foundation of America! i emailed the guy who bought the item from me and told him to just ask for a refund and id give it to him, and then emailed paypal and told them some very choice words that im really not allowed to say on these boards lol... so im pretty much just thinking i should buy the ebay book you guys are going on alot about cause i tell ya i just dont get this stuff...

spread_smiles 06-10-2008 09:22 AM

was it a withdrawal limit or you were completely blocked !!

Ballsack 06-10-2008 02:02 PM

What are the odds I'll be limited?

I have a paypal account which is several months old. There is a CC on the account but no bank account. I've taken in a couple of hundred dollars and I haven't found a way to spend it all in one shot. I am going to make a 70 dollar purchase but I'm afraid after that the account will be frozen. What are the odds of this happening in everyone's experience? If they're high I might as well just go for broke and use up the entire $200 within a 30 minute span.
