| imjustme | 05-09-2008 03:34 AM | Is it April Fools again already? Tell me you're not serious. Please. |
| gotgameplan | 05-09-2008 02:33 PM | Like I said before it was let it build up or Nothing..meaning just stop taking pp period tell me imjustme what have you done in my shoes limited pp but still able to receive pp payments do you lose those sales and just accept money orders checks tell me what have you done remember I was not expecting the limitation because my pp account was 5 years old and had to send all require documents only on my first year now it may sound like April fools but believe me, had I knowed that if I sent 7k to another pp this will trigger limitation sure I would have never done such a move,,You see I never thought about Merchant set up because everything was fine with pp for 5 good straight years.....just got me of guard my only defense was continue selling and ship the goods worry about loot later and the reason that everthing went well was because when I listed my items with ebay I never used my main pp email addy so I guess Ebay didnt even know I was limited or I cant explain my self but I was still able to relist and sell.... |
| gotgameplan | 05-09-2008 02:45 PM | After many years dealing with pp I learn never to used the main pp email addy with your listings don't know but for some reason like a couple of years back my friend got limited pp he had like 5 eBay to one pp but he always used his main email on pp so what he told me was that he wasn't able to relist with any 5 eBay accounts until he fixes his pp so from there on I just added email from eBay to pp I say never use your main Paypal email to list with multiple Ebay accounts . |
| imjustme | 05-09-2008 02:48 PM | *drops dead*
Ok, I'm back up. I still can't believe you left 50k in an online account. I never even leave that much in a true bank account. Seriously! |
| divine422 | 05-11-2008 12:07 PM | Just wow...the most i will ever leave in my paypal account within 24hrs is like $100. Thats mind boggling. |
| gotgameplan | 05-11-2008 12:48 PM | Guy's believe me or not the only thing I can says is I don't know about you but if I ever get a pp account with limitation with the option of still able to receive payments and eBay allows me to list without any problems yes I going to build it up thats money in the bank 180 days so what you get your funds anyway..Now with 08 accounts tight security dont know about this sending ⊗⊗⊗⊗ documents in to have pp account limitation lifted with all ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info on pp its not going to be easy . |
| divine422 | 05-11-2008 09:41 PM | If you havent gotten it yet I recommend you getting the Ebay ebook on this forum...i think you need some direction. |

| moh96 | 05-24-2008 12:52 AM | i had 23K locked with paypal before, and the funny thing back then I was 100% legal
had my company selling 100% legal items, no copyright violations or anything (i was selling poker chips cases at that time)
they just said i was selling too much LOL, had 0 -ve feedback, 0 paypal complaints
and after i gave them my social and provided them with my DNA sample LOL, the paypal employee was screaming at me and said we dont want you to do business with us anymore |
| Jonas | 05-24-2008 01:35 AM | moh96 did you get the money back or sue? |
| moh96 | 05-24-2008 03:03 AM | Jonas
i got it back after like 100 phone calls |
| 2eXclusiive | 05-25-2008 08:29 AM | you had to provide them with a dna sample???
$23,000.00 is alot of money, theyr'e lucky they gave it back to you, because if they didn't you could have took them to court and got more money =D
i bet they made a ridiculous amount of money by investing your $23,000.00 while they kept for account frozen. |
| ebaykilla | 05-27-2008 11:52 AM | Is it possible for the 180 distribution to be done via an instant transfer to your bank on file with paypal? |
| MasterChief | 05-27-2008 12:00 PM | When we want an instant transfer done to an account other than the paypal name - do we have to set it up before the 180 period expires, or does it not matter when as long as we verify it with the 2 small amounts? |

| goodedc | 07-04-2008 03:06 AM | ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info paypal got suspended, will the left fund be available after 180 days? Paypal and ebay gave me two wonderful Independence day gifts today,
Two of my ebay and linked paypal account get suspended on the same day today, damn it.
As for ebay account, no problem, who cares,
But the paypal ask me supply the ssn and information for credit check
obviously, it's mission impossible because that person who registered the paypal account doesn't exist, so I guess I can't give them none of the information. Now please help me with following concern:
1. if I ignore their requirement to resolve the paypal problem, will my account suspension date be considered to start as today?
2. 180 days after today, will paypal refund me the money if I can't give them any real information?
3. Who has experience of ⊗⊗⊗⊗-informationed paypal getting suspension ? Did you get your money back after 180 days?
Please help, thank you. |
| John14789 | 07-04-2008 03:14 AM | Call paypal and tell them I'm not going to provide my ssn# because of identituy fraud. See if they give you any other options. If they don't more likely within a couple days they will permanently ban you on paypal. The 180 would start the day you recieve the email from paypal telling you you are permanently banned. You will recieve your money in the registered bank account after the 180 days ends. |
| goodedc | 07-04-2008 08:47 AM | Thank you for your help, I just found out except the ssn issue, my paypal interface contains some other issue (or may I consider as other options?) to be resolved which I am not sure what to do:
credit check to the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ guy, should I press "credit check" and let the check failed? or I just need to call them tell them I don't want to give them the ssn number?
anyway, I am just trying to find a way let them permanently ban my account as soon as possible.
thank you very much |
| John14789 | 07-04-2008 01:26 PM | If you want to keep the paypal account consider the other options. If you don't want to keep it and want to move on go ahead call them and tell them ''I do not wish to provide you with my ssn.'' Then they will permanently ban you very quick. If you want to sell alot and are still using paypal then your in a dead end. Go get a ccnow account its a merchant account that let's you accept paypal and all other major cc. Its a easy signup process and no FREEZING like paypal. |
| imjustme | 07-04-2008 03:55 PM | Yeah, you can withdraw the money just fine after 180 days. |
| ebayhateluv | 07-20-2008 07:03 PM | >>Paypal 180 Day Letter--Limited-Check being sent!! << HI:
For those of you who have never had the pleasure of experiencing this..Heres what Paypal sends you when theyre ready to release your funds AFTER the 6 months have passed--
BTW--since acct is Limited--they will NOT let you close it either.. BUT--they of course offer to add your ssn for "your convenience" :)

| divine422 | 07-20-2008 09:34 PM | I was also wondering whether they lock your account after 180 days and the money is withdrawn. I never logged on too a limited account after i got my cheque but i did with one of my accounts and it gave me an message to contact the appeals department, couldnt even log on. I also need to give them a call because i had my cheque withdrawal confirmation from June 30th and it still hasn't arrived as yet! |
| chris187 | 07-21-2008 08:54 AM | How long does paypal keep the money for ? Hi i have one paypal account and it was limited in jan this year. I got a email from paypal saying that they will hold my money for 6 months and that it would be ready for release on 21st july which is today. I still cant withdraw and i checked my email inbox for this account and see a couple more emails from them saying that my appeal was denied last month and that my money in my account will be held for 180 days. 180 days have passed since i got limited can they hold it for another 180 days ? I phoned them up and thats what they are trying to do .Any advice anyone please and if anyone has a paypal phone number of someone higher than ther agents as they really dont have 2 brain cells to rub together . |
| mantisinc | 07-21-2008 09:39 AM | Give it until tomorrow, as the 21st isn't really over - and if it's still being held, I'd give them another ring. |
| greg2414 | 07-21-2008 11:32 AM | Yeah just give them a few days, they wont rush for you. It's a bit like the tax office, quick enought o take money from you but when it comes to giving it back. |
| keeponkeepinon | 07-21-2008 03:44 PM | ebayhateluv (or anyone who knows),
I have had limited accounts that have lapsed the 180 days, and have been able to do a bank withdrawal to get my money finally. But, the amounts were low (<$100) because I refunded all of the buyers whose product had not been sent out at the time of limitation. Also, I owed a fair amount of fees as well, much more than the $100. Here's my question:
If I wait the 180 days and have a larger balance being held (>$1,000), and owe Ebay fees on the account that yielded those payments (more than the Paypal balance), will I still be able to withdraw the money in 180 days?
I have not "linked" the accounts FROM WITHIN EBAY (that I know of), only added an "auction account" in Paypal (for the purpose of inserting Paypal logos and the such?). Also, I have never paid my fees WITH my Paypal account (or at all for that matter).
ebayhateluv? Modee? aspkin?
Thank for any help! |
| aksjkas | 07-29-2008 12:18 AM | Any problem getting Paypal funds after 6 months? I have a Paypal account limited but it still can accept payments. I was wondering if anyone had problems collecting their money after the 180 day hold period? I don't necessarily need the money now and have some stuff I'd like to get rid of without having to worry about feedback since it's just going to get permanently limited anyway.
Also, I'm assuming I'm stuck here. I'm on the second limitation after getting past the 2 out of 3 one. This is the verify land line phone number, social security number, and then just phone number. I don't have a social security number for the name and the address is completely ⊗⊗⊗⊗ which means I can't verify the phone number or receive the letter they're sending. I'm not sure if I call if I can convince them to send the letter somewhere where I can get it, but even if I manage to do that I still would have to get around the social security number issue.
Anyway, any insight or experience would be appreciated. |

If you have been limited, and are experiencing the kind of limitation that freezes up your money (and no refunds allowed) anyway, and then on down the road you get permanently limited, does the 180 days start from the date of initial limitation, or moment of permanent limitation?
I believe it's 180 days from permanent limitation, but what if you go down with the equivalent of the Jack Dempsey/Gene Tunney infamous "slow count"? Then what? | It would seem from the many posts that I have read in this thread that it would apply to limited as well as permanently limited accounts. If anyone has had their claim denied because their account wasn't permanently limited please let us know! |

| imthatguy | 12-11-2008 02:59 AM | it would be the limited |
| suspendedagain | 12-11-2008 07:38 PM | 180 days The 180 days start from your LAST TRANSACTION not when they limited or totally blocked your account.
So check you last transaction, be it a recieved or sent payment, thats the date you need to go by, wait the 180 days and email them or phone them to remind them its been 180 days since your LAST TRANSACTION | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:13 AM. | |
