There's more that can link you other than just IP and user profiles.

crixus12, discussed a lot in the stealth guide and in other posts - read around and you get the feeling.

Easy answer: when you set up an eb/pp account, think of ALL the steps involved...any old info will link.

Like anything that is the same or similar to your banned details.

That includes not just personal information but also what you sell, how you sell it, how you describe it and even the photo's you used.

There's a lot more than that besides but I suggest as rsot has already said do your own research on the forums.

Only possible link is the name on checking accounts. Throw away phone, different addresses, selling different items. I did sell an item which was to a fraudulent seller and PayPal notified me so I addressed that.

So - wait- when asked for banking info to verify the account, you ALWAYS put in the same name (i.e. your name of the chequing account) which does NOT match the name of the registered pp account holder?

They would only see the name on the bank accounts if you transferred funds from the bank accounts to your p/p accounts or you put the real details on p/p and some point.

If you did not do this then you have missed something else that you either did or did not do that subsequently linked the accounts.

I hate to say it but it is usually human error that ends up linking accounts.

No matter how careful you think you are being it only takes a second and one error and it's done.

@NoneOther, /quote you put the real details on p/p and some point.

I am wonder if the OP did this. Of course, he needs to be more detailed for a better analysis.

Yes, pretty vague on detail.

Needs to clarify what happened with the fraudulent transaction.

I would guess this is where the linking occurred if p/p had to investigate it, they may well have had 'additional' info provided by bank/card etc.
