I'm Guessing it's a Bad Idea to Contact PayPal in Advance About Changes?
I run several online businesses. I was only working part-time for awhile because my kids were little. All of them are in school now but one, so I have more time to devote to my work. I've been working like crazy lately, and I expect my monthly PayPal earnings to skyrocket. I usually earn $1000-$2000 a month through PayPal, but it looks like now I'll be earning that much per WEEK.
The last few days, I've made around $500 a day from eBay and another business that I run. I've been receiving payments from the same clients for years for the work I do for my second business - not sure if that makes a difference. I've also sold a few high dollar gift cards on eBay, and I just found out that it's a high risk category.
I need to spend about $2000 today to buy money orders for my house payment (there's a place out here that lets you buy money orders with your debit card). I'm so scared that all of my recent activity will cause PayPal to get locked. Is it a bad idea to contact PayPal and let them know that I expect my income to increase drastically for the next few weeks? Some of my clients refuse to use anything other than PayPal, so I'll lose my 2 main gigs if I stop accepting it.
