I CAN SEE THAT THIS 21 DAYS HOLD ON FUNDS IS NOT NEW (let say from YEAR 2012).

Does this still apply if I open PP acc today?Or Paypal stopped doing this? And is this maybe also connected on the country you are from or just activities that happen on your account?

Still applies, new or old accounts.

Not stopped by paypal.

Not country specific either.

Happens because it's paypal reacting to accounts' activities

Thank you for replay.

I think it's matter of time when some huge % of people will go to alternative payment sources.

This forum is in great help. Keep on doing good job guys/girls.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I have been wondering. If one does not need the money before 21 days, are there other negatives to the hold?

For example, lets say you sell 10 items at 100.00 each. After 21 days, you have 1,000 cleared in your account. Then you sell another 10 items at 100.00 each, same wait period.

After your initial 21 days of not having the money at your disposal, you will have money in PP for shipping and transferring out/shopping at all times if you continue selling.

I'm not to the above point yet, so I am also hating the holds. I don't like using my own cash for shipping and supplies. But I'm thinking once I've been back to selling my max for another month or so, it shouldn't be so bad?

True for some people it isnt a big deal, but when you own a business that buys and sell electronics everyday, its hard to come up with that much cash flow on your own when you have to wait for paypal to release the funds.

No depends on age off account and history etc .
More info on the account is required ?

Usually once the client leaves good feedback the amount is released , ask them to leave feedback .
