| | | gurik20 | 12-02-2009 05:13 AM | Hi, i have one question, can i refund more value that the buyer paid for item? For example if buyer paid 100$ can i refund to they account 1000$? Thank you |
I think if is a paypal refund it would be caught as mistake and actual refund would still be 100. I think this would happen whenever transaction is electronic. |
| gurik20 | 12-02-2009 12:08 PM | I want to try so before i will try to avoid some problems may be some body did it before? |
| gurik20 | 12-02-2009 02:27 PM | It did not work like you said. This is for Ebay transaction. |
| transam98 | 12-18-2009 04:36 PM | 21 Day Limitation.. My Story So I Thought Id post my story....
Ebay and Paypal account since about 2004....
Ebay 2200+ FB never a neg.
I have NO DSR's (well nothing selling in about the last 6 mos)
I sold a item ($250) a week ago, put the TR # into EBAY and PAYPAL then shipped the SAME DAY and also WITHDREW the cash...(to bank acct)
then 4 days later I sold another item ($250) Waited a DAY then added the TR# to PAYPAL/EBAY, Shipped item, and withdrew the cash.....(to bank acct)
About 2 days later.... BAM 21 DAY LIMITATION !!!
And DO remember Both Ebay and PAYPONZI accounts.... 2004
and Fleabay.... 2200+ FB no NEG or Nuetrals....
Probably the tip off...
NO DSR's in the last 6 mos... Or that I withdrew about $550 in the last 2 weeks and always keep a zero balance in payponzi...
So now Im getting a Merchant acct... SCREW PAYPONZI
** Update ** I got my Merchant account (no business name private) and its only $10/mo and 2.27% !!
Merry Xmas to me and Paypal GOTO HELL !!
p.s... just a FYI I screwed ebay and paypal over years ago and stuck them both with a big bill and filed a bankrupcy haha :) so they GET back what they deserve for screwing everyone over :) |
| transam98 | 01-16-2010 12:56 PM | Follow Up... Ok so originally I got hit with the 21 day funds hold...
my reason Im guessing in NO DSR Ratings...
I got the email on 12/16
So I went ahead and got a merchant account.... :) (Its been working out just fine LOL)
Today (30 days later)... I STILL do NOT have enough DSR's (no stars show up yet)....
BUT I have sold about $750-1000 of merchandise since then and gotten a FEW more + FB's/... (like 4 more FB from selling)
Bringing my TOTAL Positives to around 2210.. and NO NEGS,..
Today I get a email from PAYPONZI... my 21 day hold has been LIFTED... Weird cause there are NO DSR's still !
Makes ya go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm |
| x2ruff4u | 01-20-2010 04:18 PM | With the dsr it can be tricky. Sometimes it does not even come into play. |
| kingfish900 | 01-21-2010 02:14 AM | as for the 21 day hold i have a way around it if you want to hear. PM me OP. |
| GameTheory | 01-21-2010 02:37 PM | "If I could only earn their trust." Right.
They're using a randomizing algorithm on A.I. servers. Accounts are freed up depending on feedback, volume, if you're less than 90 days old. Considering that it's all pattern recognition, being desperately random and yet consistant helps.
I know a trick for freeing up your money instantaneously, but I wouldn't recommend abusing it. When I did I got to have a nice sit down chat with eBay Corporate who told me I was very clever for beating their elaborate system with its own rules. I was also informed that I broke no rules re: their TOS (Terms Of Service) agreement, but that I was blacklisted until Judgment Day for...well, something.
Rule 213: Don't embarrass eBay's programmers. |
| GameTheory | 01-21-2010 02:43 PM | Don't ship TOO fast and withdraw, because that's another pattern inviting lock-down. Priority Mail max. |

OK, I'll go along with withdrawing fast. Care to explain the don't ship too fast? Is there an obscure reference to potential buyer problems I have missed? Running late to ship is going to create a similar pattern :ranger: |
| gurusgrafx | 01-23-2010 08:15 PM | yeah I would think they'd look favorable upon someone that ships fast. |
| OfficialGenius | 01-23-2010 08:54 PM | I thought It was don't ship too slow. I thought shipping fast was good, not only for DSR but for paypal's eyes.
Unless he meant no EXPRESS shipping. |
| aleyalan | 03-14-2010 01:54 PM | paypal money 14 days in hold I sold some items on ebay and the y cancell some because some trademark problem ( so stupid i didnt know it could happen, even they were high risk) 2 nick with hundreds of feedback now nothing. I got unlimited suspension. So i used my friend's ebay account with 8 feedbacks but any as a seller. Link my paypal account, i know so stupid, and sold a legal item the money was on hold for about 2 weeks because i was new as a seller, after 2 or 3 items they never hold the money again!
the bad is now they think that account is mine and got the suspension too=(
the good thing is that i found this place =)
Just wondering if I buy new ebay & paypal account i will have the money in hold in my firsts sales?
also how can change the isp or ip o what ever they detect to run 2 or 3 accounts
thanks |
| jbluntz | 03-14-2010 05:14 PM | There's not really any secret around the hold there are other methods you can use but it's really not that big of deal just go down to the pawn shop or walmart get a bunch of cheap junk and keep selling until the hold is gone then start listing your profit bearing items. |
| moneyhungry | 05-08-2010 08:35 AM | i got something new from pp i started a few accounts earlier n got slammed w limits, verifications etc... then they just closed them... this time the ebay account im using is 5 yrs old w a few fb. started selling w newly created pp. some no holds..some hols..then after a few weeks..pp sent me a letter saying we are going to hold all your funds from future transactions for 21 days..but no other issues had stuff already listed it has sold. its held. now ebay is saying i need to verify my pp. which im in the process of doing. i never got the email explaning before from pp. this time it seems they are taking a diff approach. has anyone else been geting these new pp emails? thanks |
| LowKey | 05-16-2010 10:47 PM | Get Paid Now! Come on people... really????
Send all buyers a "Thank You" letter via "Registered Mail".... this gives your a tracking number to give to PayPal, it requires signature confirmation, which gets your Payment Released in 24 hours. The money is then yours!
Transfer funds to a bank account, then send the item.
You get your money released in less than a week,, and you can have the item shipped & delivered within 10-14 days. Most buyers won't complain about a 10 day shipping time!
Add a 2-3 day eBay imposed handling time, and you're good to go! |

I have an 8 year old ebay account. So If I use paypal to accept payments, you are saying they will hold my funds, even though it is more than 90 days old? |
| GreenBean | 06-13-2010 06:12 PM | @imhim, Yep. any account regardless of age will get a hold. nasty thing paypal does :fight: |

| GreenBean | 06-13-2010 08:02 PM | @topseller, correct. paypal manages to delay the release of funds past the 3 days despite claiming monies will be released.
And the more it gets broadcast, the longer paypal will take, imho. My feeling is to minimize talking too openly about this :spy:
