I think I just figured it out. At least it worked for me. It was a win win. I got the hold off and the buyer loves me for being sooo honest.

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in here.

Paypal still has a hold on $25.00 of a sale I made back in Nov. I printed the shipping label thru them, the item has been delivered, and the customer left good feedback.

So it goes to show that PayPal will still hold onto the funds even after the item has been delivered and feedback has been left.

I have a business account and my account is only 4 months old but other then the $25.00 that they have a hold on they have been letting everything else go thru.

Yes, all you have to do is call paypal. Just make sure you put tracking in the paypal system and call once you see its delivered. I called and they released like 5 payments in all of about 10 mins. I call almost everyday. No big deal.

make a note in your auctions that buyers should not pay until you send them the paypal invoice via email (a paypal money request) just send a money request to your buyers email address, and wala no 21 day hold BS. Do this from your paypal account. Some buyers may fail to read the details in your auction that says "payment it to be made only after i send and invoice via e-mail" just file a non paying buyer claim on there ass if they fail to cooperate, don't give them any warning that you are going to file or they may leave you negative feedback.

sorry it is a big deal, we are talking about paypal here. they do not play fair by any means. I refuse to leave my products fate and my finances to a game of russian roulette that is paypal.

Don't send paypal invoices from your eBay account send them directly from your paypal account and make sure the reason is listed as goods and not ebay auction.

I have figured out a way to have my funds released, But i am worried that if i do it too many times they might notice and just limit my account.

I know that method. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not go telling everyone. It will only be a matter of time before someone at paypal stops it. I know exactly what you're talking about. Just keep things to yourself and make money. Trust me. It's a better risk to keep it to yourself than to have it patched up.

Does anyone know if paypal always hold your money from the item´s money you received, which adding to the balance you already had in paypay sum over $500?

If you are new or most likely your item is expensive paypal will hold your funds for "safety" their new policy. I hear this going for even paypal members for years... Paypal has received lawsuits for this.

For any new eBay account PayPal will most likely to hold any payments from eBay either small or large. As the account build feedback and time PayPal will most likely to let $20-$30 transaction through with no hold.

about 20 items sold = all have holds
get a limitation
^^^about 3 week process, all items value $100 - $400, very hot items
next few items sold for about 2 weeks = no hold
following week = starts all over again...

is this hold liftable by verifieng address, providing invoices, ssn, etc?,

if your account is 30 days old, unlinked to any other account, and selling unexpensive items, say used power tools($100 - $400), digital cameras(+- $300), or used laptops(+- $600),


would paypal more likely hold your money(limit you) before it reaches your bank account(after a transfer request), when you have over $500 in paypal payments(at the time you requested the transfer)?,
or when you have less than $500, you have less chances of getting limited?

Since when do paypal ship items? IF you mean does paypal hold funds for items, then yes they do. Cost of item is nearly irrelevant. This is addressed in the forum previously.:rolleyes:
