Well thx for all your replies!

I would love to start selling it again with my labels stuck on as it did look good.

But I find it hard to believe that the reason for those 2 accounts being limited was nothing to do with PP not liking what I was selling. After all, why was I questioned about what I was selling.

The guy said, "looks like you are selling a lot of these items all at the same price?", "Yes I said its some #@$% I had left over I wanted to sell on." Pause for a while while he fiddles about, then "well sir I'm afraid we will have to close your account and you can no longer use PP services." me' "What never ever again?" PP, "yes i'm afraid so" me, "ok bye"

Its cant be normal to have your accounts permanently terminated unless they are unhappy about something, after all I was making them good money and had excellent feedback.

I they wanted to confirm my ID then they would have asked me send in some docs and if its not id then it must be what i'm selling i believe.

Believe what you want but common sense prevails....

If it was item it would be on EBAY... the only time paypal would be involved if they were getting complaints from BUYERS of foo foo items via claims and credit card charge-backs.
IF they had a concern with the items it would be a invoice request.

Just think about the facts for a moment.

Dozens of other UK members have been complaining about the same issues you have and they don't sell the same things you do.

As for confirming identity, it is easier to just limit the account. Why waste time?

This issue is in no way unique to you at all in any way.

Please listen to the more experienced members. It isn't anything to do with what you're selling. The reason they gave was they wanted you to confirm your identity. A lot of other UK users have had the same limitation message about confirming their identity but it cannot be appealed against. Luckily, I haven't had any issues, yet. I only run one stealth as well what I've built up since 2011.

But they haven't just limited my acc, theyve closed it!

And I had one account limited wanting ID and that was a very different phone call.

Perhaps no one did complain, but they did not like the look of something to close it all sudden like that with no request for evidence where I got it from They were quickly very certain they did not want me as a customer any more based only on questions about what I'm selling.

NO FUNDS in the account would be closed. Limited would be if funds were held.

Lucky you! Most people have lost all the funds for 180 days if they ever get it back. Many many many had paypal return funds to the buyers..

You are correct, THEY DON'T LIKE YOU and it has NOTHING to do with your item.

Why make a thread and ask questions if you don't want answers? Rhetorical

Speaking to Paypal on the phone is always a bad idea anyway as they nearly always find something that they don't like. It's always advised but sometimes people have no other choice.

Sadly I do have money in the account which they will review every 30 days until they are happy to give it back.

I have read very carefully all the answers people are kind enough to give, but the ways of PP are mysterious and who can be so certain exactly why?

But I know that he was very interested in what I was selling and then immediately closed my account.

(I prefer a pasta salad in my picnic anyway)

No no no, that will not be the reason why your accounts got limited, read the posts on here about the number of accounts that have gone down, and what happened each time they went down, people unable to provide believable documentation to prove they are who they say they are, just about every time an account is limited now the sellers are asked to upload ID in one form or another which as stealth account holders, they cannot do, there are many many sellers who have been losing accounts, who cares what labels you put on your packages, I have never heard of anyone using labels copied from the manufacturers original products, I can't believe its that widespread especially these days and it's not enough of a big deal to lose accounts over, it is all over this forum now that accounts are going down more now with the time of year and also with the new ID checks being introduced by paypal and

Rock the boat and PayPal will refund your buyers automatically. This issue is not remotely isolated to you. You are months behind this PayPal avalanche.
