Canada is the worst country to live in. Very boring, No Summer, the people who think they are better than Americans and the rest of the world. No family life. No population, terrible healthcare system. I have Lived there for 5 years. Nothing comparable to states or Europe. They have the best maple syrup though.

I love Canada for its outdoors experiences you cant quite experience in most of the USA but 4-6 weeks is my cap. The last time I spent 6 weeks in the Quebec Bush, I was never so happy to be stuck in traffic on the east coast and talk to anyone other than the same 4 people everyday.

Can someone give me a run down on what's going on? My dad has a few paypal accounts he sells legit stuff on, that he keeps like 10-15k in . Should i start withdrawing every few days for him? He has bank account on the account, and ein's.

I don't really get the panic.. if you have a bank account, it says no matter what you can withdraw to it, so worst case scenario.. they ask for more info, you cannot provide and you pay ebay fees with a VCC.

That is correct.
No need to panic if you have US bank accounts attached - this will have minimal impact on you.
Note though that keeping THAT much money in a paypal account is probably not the smartest thing to do regardless - not with the unpredictable nature of the beast that is paypal and their ability to limit your account at any moment for no reason at all.

the thing i dont understand is why would PP prefer you to withdraw to your bank rather than purchasing stuff with your funds... i dont get it... whats the point...

If anything goes wrong, they are the injured party.

If the funds get spent on “goods”,the merchant is the other party.

You can still go through the PayPal check. Use the button to increase the withdrawal limit, and stealth san and confirm the Bank card by using micro-payments and entering a checksum. The Bank account must be verified.
In this case, you will be able to keep the money in your PayPal account.

It is a USA law, not paypals choice but all in all, I think paypals exposure to risk will be reduced. It will curtail some of the scammers a bit along with ****ty sellers. At least cripple the lazy ones.

Unless losing that much money wouldn't bother you guys, try and make a practice of keeping a lot less in there. Just in case it all goes bad..

Well if you had emptied a PP that had no bank (how ever you did this) what if a buyer/thief wants a big refund/return, how are you supposed to fill it back up?

It is pretty cut and dry. If they cant verify your name/address/DOB you can only withdraw to a bank account. Nothing else.

That's once and forever. You think they will let you use it after that? I think not and there may be a message to EB that things are not kosher...who knows
