Add a prepaid credit card to ebay as your payment method. Easily purchased at any convenience store.
Or paid via paypal directly from your bank account. |

all in all, for people running accounts with bank accounts, not much seems to be different. Just a few things will be more of a PITA. Kills the need for little accounts and spending the money etc... |

| Having that many banks and EINs aren’t that hard to manage. I have a dozen or so, I could easily double that and not find it any more troublesome to pay tax for and assigning business expenses. Just have proper bank and tax management software and you’re off to the races. |

Have had this setup for over 6 years now and never had an issue.

I don't think much will change. You have to have them all verified with a bank. The EIN should be asked for as before or like now. Why give that up (Ebay). What new seller trying to get rid of home items is going to get an EIN for that? |

Yes, this is Paypal vs Ebay. Paypal is pi$$ed that Ebay is moving platforms and is going after Ebay Sellers that only use paypal for Ebay. Of course that is just my opinion I could be wrong (SNL) Quote:

If we're going to speculate, this could also be plausible:
eBay had advanced knowledge of the Paypal UA update so they know a lot of sellers will soon stop selling because they won't be able to process payments. eBay introduces a new payment processor right around the time the Russia investigation causes Paypal to become wayy more regulated so that sellers don't abandon the platform once they're unable to use Paypal.
The timelines don't quite add up, but I think Adyen/UA update are related no doubt. :juggle:

It seems that those Russian used real people info, SSN ,DOB , even get ⊗⊗⊗⊗ driving license to buy ads all over the internet... Quote:

I think PP doesn't want to quit from the payment market too. Otherwise crypto will dominate the market and US will be introduced with real Russians :)
They sell everything in dark markets. Not smart like a stealth, all harmful.
I'm pretty sure folks from PP read here. They were all aware of stealth. Everyone are all aware of darknet too. I believe "they" will make a choice. What happened before elections were their stupidity. I hope they will learn to differentiate things!

Of course they knew about stealth accounts and of course there are numerous PP employees posing as reputable members here.
Like I said I think Paypal's hand is being forced by the government. There's no way crypto is going to "take over" though. Not possible in the world we live in. If this update results in a huge seller purge, I think it's a lot more likely Amazon would just pick up the slack and dominate even more of the market. |

If theyre able to get the DOBs and SSNs then if anything their accounts will now look even more legit.

| If you have your real bank account attached and all you ever did was pull your funds into those bank accounts then nothing changes.
Some people realy do need to calm down.
We already went over it several times.
IF they require further verification it will impact only people who cannot add a real US bank account to their accounts in any real way - meaning non US users.
And we still dont have enough information to determine exactly what sort of extra verification that might be.
Just chill already. This panic mode doesnt suit you. |

These PP's frozen when I went to send 50 bucks 6 months ago to another mind you. |

Im going by what paypal are saying.
They state theyre changing things for the way the existing balance can be used. They specifically state that youll still be able to withdraw it to your bank account.
All I can do is go by what theyre saying at this point.
And for the record - I myself have not seen any issues as of yet. |

Don't you see? When you are 'verified' right at the beginning you ad a card/bank pow verified. Why send a message we are changing....why change if you are verified? Why not 'Unverified acct's cannot send/receive that should be the old way. NOT as they discribe now. |
