Plus you have the right to opt out and close your account if you don’t agree with user agreement changes. That’s a compliance issue they have to legally provide. |

And to counter what you said - The SSN and DOB can easily be bought online. Using said SSN and DOB and any number of public database companies that provide their services for $9.95 per month one can find pretty much all the info necessary to pass said verification questions. A bank statement can easily be photoshoped. The prostate exam will need a special template - Im sure one can be arranged.
Did I miss anything?
Point is - where there is will there is a way and if nefarious elements want to avail themselves of paypal's services they will be able to do so no matter what security measures/obstacles are placed in their way.
Im not in denial. I just dont see the point in wasting all this time on something that we simply dont know enough about. When this feature rolls out and we actually know what we're dealing with ill get to work on a solution. Right now youre working on a solution to a question that has way too many variables and not enough data. |

I like to get prepared for the worst I can't sit and wait for possible bad things to happen. It's something I wish I could develop as you do because as you say it's unknown so why worry...if only I could. Sorry if I went bonkers They stole my money and it angers me. |

Paypal steals money from people all the time. I can understand the anger. Its why we all came here to begin with.
With this specific situation though theres no point in being impatient or angry.
We know something is coming. We're not sure of the details. We know what the various possibilities are and we know what our options are in case of these various possibilities.
We did the preparatory work. Now we need to wait for it to actually be implemented to know what we actually need to do or can do about it.

From what I gather on the Paypal Community Forum the verification options are pretty standard:
Call and/or Text
Add Card
Add Bank
EIN/SSN stays the same until threshold requirements are met.
I took some time and went through the recent posts on there and no one (not even PayPal employees who post) have mentioned identity info off the bat. Not saying it may or may not be a thing still, but all the responses to recent posts have been specifically about verified bank accounts and debit cards.
All of this is to comply with the VENMO issues of transfers. They were having problems with instant transfers and missing payments and it looks like to address it they are requiring actual, verified banks.
Should you wish to swim in a sea of posts, go on the PayPal Community pages and search for VENMO and 2018 TOS updates. |

This to me means nothing has changed yet. Even if this is planned we will not see it happening until April 19th at least.

I'm not personally concerned, I just read a lot about everything and googled it to see if I could pass along some more in depth info for you guys who seem shook over this. Those who were operating with no real bank accounts, buying cryptos, buying items listed by other accounts to move money around or directly sending paypal balances to other paypal accounts are probably the only sellers this update will hit. :pry: |

I do have a small and very positive update (I left one of my accounts with the "bug"), but unfortunately I can't post it here since paypal might fix it.
I guess once it "hits" everyone, you will also find out soon...
Let's just say even tho the account is unverified and no bank is attached, the money can still be used!

| Lol, just lucky I guess but I DID read the stealth book, my "stupid" post came only AFTER 5 paypal accts were limited for no apparent reason and my attempt to save 3 1000/34,000 accts and by the way 2 of them have been operating with newly attached paypal for close to a month and have generated $4000 net profit of which $3600 has been transferred to my bank acoount. Another month like that and I think attaching new paypal to them was worth it, EVEN you should agree with that. |

They have been trying NOT to be a merchants agent. Sounds like the government is making them or changed the definition. If that is the case, SS will be required, Just like amazon, sooner than before.
