Frankly I've always thought the practice of selling VBA's was illegal. Defeats the point of the Patriot Act.

From what I gather, FBI arrested someone who owns another site for allowing VBA sales. Fear spread and now threads from the past 5 years have been deleted. Most all sellers have been banned.

This site does not offer them either.

Non on this site.

Did you find any sellers who still offered them? I found someone in Russia..They dont work. Pakistan all of a sudden dont either. Cant tell if it is a paypal issue or VBA issue.

Things seem to be moving really fast lately... Cant tell if its because I haven't been spending as much time here lately or if its just really moving that fast...

I also think their hand was forced. Nothing about this update spells more profits for Paypal.

It's starting to seem like this is a widespread effort to stop "ghosts" from selling online.

Again - dont think adding a VBA or a bank account is going to be the answer since they specifically say that if youre not verified you only have the option to withdraw to your bank account (or added debit card) implying that you DO already have a bank account added to your paypal account.

(1) This is for USA customers
(2) Verified your "identifying information" doesn't mean bank or SSN. Although it indirectly means SSN. They will look up your name and address in public record. And ask 3 personal questions "name of your first car" "previous address you lived at" etc.
If you use stealth you have made up name, so if it matches someone else then you won't be able to answer questions. but more than likely 99% it won't match to an person and by default they can't verify "identifying info" because you have no identity and they will flag your account.

It's like requiring a 90% on a test to pass. But if you don't show up to take the test (i.e. they can't generate question based on your identity) then by default you automatically failed.

Doesn't affect me because I transfer to banks.


Just FYI with every update it gets worse and worse: higher fees, more security, etc etc. Any time you get update of TOS, always assume the worst. This is how you stay ahead.
