Confirm Your Info

Today received this notification in my PP summary: "Like using your PayPal balance to send and spend online? Confirm your info now. Or transfer to your bank when you get paid. It's your choise!"

What it meant? What will happen if I do not confirm my info? Will I be limited?

No.
It means youll only be able to withdraw funds you receive to a bank account.
This means that if you do not have a US bank account attached to the paypal it is pretty much useless to you.

They pretty much tell you that you will NOT be able to do so unless you verify the info.

Have you been able to spend any funds (Make purchase) since this appeared at the top?

I've been waiting out things to see how the update was going to affect my 10+ year old account (Verified actual CC and BoA account attached, neither active now though), and saw no changes until this week. I now see the same as you at top. Last week, not there and I was able to make $6 purchase.

Purposefully kept funds in balance low, less than $5 in account waiting it out, and it still shows as "available" I'm curious if I can make a purchase now or not, or will this only affect us later on/eventually? I was able to click X on the message and it disappeared without coming back.

Scared to make a sale and loose the $$. Hopefully when it's locked in "send to bank or verify info to collect funds etc" we can still refund buyers, that's what I plan to do as soon as I see it. Gotta get a new bank account setup soon!

Yes, I have. I made a purchase for $10 to check and no problems. I closed this notice and it no longer appears. Very strange what it was.

I also have received this message just recently and was able to send money to another PayPal account without any problems.

Same here. Received the Notification on Paypal last week. And this email today.
Still able to pay and make a purchase though. Since for this Paypal my eBay is limited I am using only to purchase and stuff since more than a year. Wonder how long this is gonna last.

I have other two eBay/ Paypal with active sales and established which haven't gotten this notification. I guess it is rolling out slowly on every account in a few weeks.

Did some digging in this. The feature was released last year itself. But its not the same as other withdrawal Cards. The cards need to be on Paypal Network and not a thing that will work on Stealth AFAIK.

Only option is too Verify using SSN. Otherwise its gonna be RIP for Non US Peeps!

Now I can't send money until I confirm my info (SSN). I'm from Ukraine so I can't confirm it. What should I do next?

I am having the same problem with every pp that i have. what should I do? any suggestions??? i am very scared to give them the ssn

I phoned and they told me that this was rolling out to all accounts (I'm guessing all US accounts?) and they had ramped it up the last 4 months.

At some point we will suddenly not be able to spend the money out of our accounts. You either have to be able to provide a ton of ID or move it to a bank account (which you can't get without a ton of ID).

Any ideas on whether the "eligible debit card" might provide some solution? Anyone have a lock date? One person said 10/28, but I was told it could happen any time. So far, I can still send and receive.

Thoughts on getting stealth accounts outside the US? Is this only affecting the US so far?

Once they put a limit on the fund, there is no way to make shipping labels. I sell on ebay, I need paypal fund to pay for my shipping labels. I cannot do labels and type in everyone's address when I have many orders. This sucks! have to find somewhere to sell. I hope this will put ebay and paypal out of business

I have same situation, you can't not spend it, ebay fees too.
But you can add US bank and withdraw your money.

I am using this account about 6 months but don't pass monthly $700-800 bucks
I know one day they will limit it..

No email was sent to me. I saw this message when logged in and clicked on the bell.

Clicked confirm, then it asked for name,address,ssn, something else... I closed that window.
The question is: If I put all the info and submit it, what happens next? Do they limit account and ask for the document copies?
I'm sure you guys tried it because I see this thread was created about 9 months ago. Please tell me what happens next when I type all my info in?
It's very urgent, please help! Thank you.

If you put in the info and its wrong the account is limited and they ask for confirmation of the SSN and ID.
And before you ask - no there is no way around this other than adding your own US based account. Since youre not in the US I assume you do not have one...
