Paypal SSN Verification
 

Be prepared all US Paypal users, the new age of Paypal is coming. Paypal is starting to require a ssn in order to send money to another PayPal account. You can only withdraw to the bank account on file.

That's only on some accounts not all of them.. It's nothing that new. They're enforcing it more now though.

Because of that thread most regulars on the forum knew what was coming. Luckily at this point this has only impacted newly created accounts. Accounts that were selling before the TOS update have been grandfathered in and haven't been affected yet. I'm sure at some point this update will be retroactively applied to older accounts though.

This policy seems to be enforced on newly created US Accounts.
Let's keep an eye on it.

At least for now. Noone knows what the future will bring. For all we know its being rolled out and will hit all accounts sooner or later.

I have some products I want to get rid of on eBay. My account was limited for selling them (eBay banned product), but I got the account back but am sure they are watching for them to be re listed.

Anyway what's best way to sell them now?

New ebay and PayPal account?
If so use a bs address?
Business PayPal with actual ein?

Start your own thread. Best way forward is probably multiple stealth accounts.

When are you being asked for SSN? I created some accounts today and have been moving small amounts trying to trigger it and cannot get it to request SSN.

I guess it's a good problem to not be able to find it, but I want to see what triggers the request.

I created two personal accounts yesterday. Both asked for confirm info after receiving some amount on it. The email that came on receiving account said Claim your money. I used Los Angeles and Chicago address for the two accounts. I didn't verify the accounts in any way.

Can you tell me which state address you used and the name of the VPN you used? Did you verify the account? Did you create a Personal or Business account? I want to be able to create PayPals that don't have this limit.

I do not use VPN's, I learned long ago that anything vaguely "data centerish" isn't good for stealth.

I have made personal accounts in both IL and CA in past few days.

I experienced the other side actually.
I've been using IPburger VPN on my amazon ghost accounts for a long time and it's a life saver.

Not to mention a lot faster than trying to get new IP all the time.

Verify last 4 of SSN and confirm address, or you won't be able to hold a PP balance and all payments will be instantly transferred in/out of your bank account.

Honestly I don't see that as a problem as when we sell on eBay, we just withdraw the funds to our banks.

When we wanna send money, we have a dedicated buyer's account that uses either a CC or Gift card.

Is this a newish account? (<1yr old)
No bank on that account, right?

Scary stuff - but luckily I haven't seen it on any of my accounts. I think all mine are at least 1yr old now though.

Oh I meant I only use my seller accounts to sell, then I have 1 buyer account to make purchases.

So my 10+ year old account has the warning bell on the top that says confirm your identity to send money to another paypal.

I'm still receiving money in it and withdrawing it to my bank.


Just wondering, are you guys concerned about the PP to PP thing? If so, why?
I figure that you can always just use either your credit card to pay another PP user.

It's a real inconvenience...............basically trying to buy stuff now is no good through PayPal...

Can only buy and send if you have ssn attached....

US govt cracking down big time on paypal

Basically a majority of my accounts are now only capable of receiving money......... Cashing out will be quite difficult

one of my regrets is that i need to stop looking for the path of least resistance.......

everytime I look for a convenient and cheap way to do things on paypal....my method gets patched they figure it out pretty quickly....

so I am trying to make a change to look for clean complicated and time consuming method.....

so that its hard for them to detect and they can't really patch or adjust their algorithm system to what i am doing....

So I avoid cutting corners.......so far its working.....and I have new methods in place after their cute games....

I will try to keep things on paypal as quiet as possible......i am pretty certain some of the new measurements on paypal are my doing......lol

I have that confirm info to use paypal balance notification for one of my paypal accounts and I was still able to send out my paypal balance money without a problem.......

No. More than 5 years old.
It was bank verified, but it was with a temporary acct that was purchased from a seller here, so it was closed years ago.
I have a few theories, mostly involving dormancy.
