And denouncing citizenship is not that simple,US govt would look into past 5 years as US citizen,figure some of your wealth accumulated in the past years in US could be taxable.
same situation with permanent residents,the diference between permanent resident and natualised citizen is that permanent resident cannot vote.
This is the way our tax codes are written,tax you wherever you are,but not sure if it has changed,but the first $80k YOU earned overseas is not taxable.
of course you can ignore all these and go about your merryway overseas,until one day you return to this country or just pay a visit,the US customs and immigration office will notify Uncle YOU HAVE ARRIVED !!!!!
