Will PayPal restore my old account after I pay an outstanding debt?
My PP account’s been limited/closed for around 3 years, after I sold some counterfeit merchandise on eBay (yes I’m a moron). I now have an unpaid balance of around $1000 that’s been sent to collections. Finally ready to pay it back and use my account again. I spoke to PayPal rep on the phone today as the site wouldn’t let me log into my account. She told me I’ll need to pay off the debt with collections, before PayPal reviews my account to see if they can reinstate it. She then asked me over the phone if I could provide the receipts/invoices for 3 different transactions I sold on eBay (counterfeit Gucci belts), to which I replied “no this was years ago, and I received them as gifts”, for all 3 transactions.
So my main question is, should I even bother paying this $1000 to get my original PP acct back? Do you think they’ll give me back my account? I don’t plan on selling anything against TOS with it this time around.
I’d much rather use my real account with my name/old bank acct and everything rather than a new stealth account.
Let me know boys, thank you.
