Default Paypal Claim

I purchased some electronic components from dhgate and the seller shipped it to a different city and state then my confirmed paypal address. The tracking # that was given to me, even shows that it was delivered and signed by someone. I just filed a claim with paypal, should I win this case? Or am I about to get screwed for a few hundred dollars? I know on ebay, if you do not send to the confirm address the buyer automatically receives a refund, how does it work when your dealing outside of ebay?

Thanks

Paypal does not offer buyer protection outside of eBay - seller protection either =( Still I would file a non-receipt in paypal.

Best to keep pushing contact with dhgate - claim it somehow. Push with the seller. Hopefully it's a reputable one.

If they have shipped to wrong address - dhgate execs migth be akin to helping.

If paypal doesn't refund my money, I guess I'm going to file a chargeback with my cc.

You should be covered under DHgate protection, no? I wouldn't release the funds to the seller and file a dispute with DHgate if the seller doesn't do anything about it. You may do the same with paypal as well.

That would suck...

True - if sizable amount, do the chargeback but be aware that Paypal might end up limiting your account since you are doing a chargeback.

It doesn't seem like dhgate wants to help me out in this case. They are saying the package was shipped because it was signed for. This is a pretty bad situation, and I would have thought dhgate would be more in my favor since my shipping address is on file. Well, I just spoke to someone at paypal, and was told if the seller can't provide evidence that it was sent to my confirmed paypal address, they will refund my account. They have 10 days to do so, hopefully there not able to photo shop some BS lol! This is good news for now.
