Default question about po boxes sizes?

Im looking to register a new PO Box, problem is it is small, and if I order a big package will I receive it (since it cant find in the PO Box space) or should I spend extra money on getting a bigger PO Box?

If you get a P.O. BOX at the post office no matter what the size is if you get a package larger than can fit in your box, they will put it in a bigger box and put the key in your box.

If you get a large package coming to a small box, the po box office will leave a card to come and claim at desk...maybe with ID depending on shipper.

You have to list each name receiving mail on the PO Box application. If you don't, the mail MAY still get into the box with the different name, but there is no guarantee. And sometimes when you list others on the application, they will tell you that the other person(s) listed need to come in with a photo-ID and proof of address.

Regarding sizes, it really does not matter. You can start with the small one. If your mail overflows the box a few times, they will tell you to get a larger box. Packages don't count, they are held at the counter.

I think the best bet is to open a P.O. Box at one of those check cashing places. They might not care what name is on the mail. The only way to know is to ask.

They do in my state.

Any mail coming in that does not match the name on the card you fill out gets put at the counter and you have to show ID to get it.

Exactly.

Some smaller cities may overlook this in some states.

I get a lot of packages that wont fit and they put them into a larger locker for me unless it is huge.
