bumping this

i'm having this issue on a couple of accounts when adding new bank account,it says they need to verify your phone number because they don't recognize the device it's being logged in..but as others have said..i've used the same everything for well over a year and it keeps saying "phone number not registered"

i'm going to call in tomorrow about this..kind of strange

I tried to add a second bank myself about 5 days ago and received the same message, my other account works fine just wanted to add another , if I really needed it I would of called in.

I think a call in and they will add it manually may be a glitch

Also happening to me... today. I will try a new bank i guess and see if that helps. This was vba verified previously.

i'm going to call in later today...but i have this on a couple accounts...one is limited and the other two are not..so must be a weird glitch or something else..will update y'all after i call later this evening

so i just called in twice..the first lady said " you need to add a landline"..which i know wouldn't solve ****...second person i called in said they wanted to ask a couple of questions from database then they can manually add my bank account..obviously was a no go since this is a stealh account..he then said something about "trusting location" to see where i log in from and i said i've only logged on from one machine ever and he said to try again in 30 minutes and it should work..he said if it doesn't to just request a check...so i will try again in 30 minutes to see if anything changed..but i doubt it..will keep y'all posted

ya..same crap happened..i'm going to call in again tomorrow..since both idiots today gave said different things..seems like this is paypals way of "stealing" funds from stealth accounts..the last guy kept mentioning "don't worry,you'll get your money..just get a check"

i have check cashing connections :)..so i'm lucky

but this is seriously going to be a big issue moving forward if you don't have a working bank account linked up prior to account being limited...i have this on 1 active account and 2 accounts that are limited..so it really is there way of stealing money..since they know its almost impossible to cash a check in a fictitious name.

i'm still going to call in a couple more times and have my attorney friend try some stuff before i resort to my connections..don't feel like paying a %

anyone else try calling in or anything?

I've a same problem, trying to transfer money to my bank account from the stealth account, I never used other computer to login the stealth account. but it ask me to verify my account, because they just "don't recognize the device you're using", tried to verify by phone number, it seems impossible. it shows "this number doesn't appear to be registered in your name"
I made a phone call, after waiting for almost 30 mins, the stupid agent didn't ask any questions, just after his checking on my account, he told me it would be working in a couple of mins. somehow failed.
will try to make another call.

doesn't seem to be one to be honest...i've tried multiple times calling in..so i got a check in the mail and had a friend cash it for me..kind of annoying that i have to do for multiple accounts..it's paypal's way of stealing your money..i'm surprised no one is really talking about this..in due time this will be a hot topic here..the idiot agents say something different every time i call in from verifying your info through database to saying there's a glitch in the system..really no work around it..i have a few things i'm going to try in the next month or so..hopefully might have my attorney friend write them..not sure why paypal wants to verify your info if your account is already toast..they're just trying to steal your money..F them

same issue here.
added VBA and worked fine... then I dropped the ball and egay wanted to withdraw from it - obviously failed and the account was removed.
wanted to add a new VBA and got the same message "verify call" ... tried to call to my textplus "this phone is not registered in your name" blabla ...
also stuck here...
I have my ways of getting money out but some items require your PP to be verified, so I have 3-4 unverified accts now... I have another 10+ that are good, but still annoying!

no workaround?

add me to the list. had a vba. wanted to add another bank account to withdraw got the money and wanted me to verify. wouldnt call me because i didnt own the number. when i called to add the bank account from my phone it told me i couldnt and sent me to customer service and they told me they wanted to ask me public questions. I just told them someone was at the door and asked if i could call back and do this anytime because i was expecting company and they said yes. not limited but super annoying because i cant get my money now

still surprised no one is really talking about this..the only way is to get a check which is almost impossible to check unless you know someone..i'm thinking of having my attorney friend write them..not sure if that will do anything..but this is a serious issue which many people will be talking about in the next few months..

i Just deleted and changed my old to current mobile line . i also confirmed the pin through text message and as well added pin but i am still having bigger issues.

also i have confirmed it as "Mobile" and set as "primary"

i tried making payment to fiverr and i was asked to confirmed my number for security purposes, i was given an option of either text or call.

anyone i choose, it asked me to select number and i did but the biggest problem is that when i click so they can send the code for me to verify, it keep tell me this

""This number doesn't appear to be registered in your name.m please try again""

later i paid for service once yesterday, after that, the issue continue

please i really need to end this right away?

What kind of phone number you using Okija? Are you working on pp.com or other platform?

@rsot: I'm using my friend's real mobile number but still get that notice. So that I think PP is not only restrict to VOIP but also real cellphone and landline?

I cant add bank account because paypal need verify phone . dont have option answer question security . still cant withdraw my money . sad
