Activity: 0% Longevity: 60% | | paypal released funds
My 180 days is due the end of feb. Have just left it alone.
Got the loan of another phone so thought that before i factory reset it, il check my emails.
Paypal contacted me two weeks ago to say most of funds available. Aside from a small amount, ive just gotton the majority withdrawn
Feeling really happy.
Just thought id mention it if people have wondered whether to check those old email addresses you have. Just remember your ip,s if you do decide to check.
I have all you guys to thank because if it wasnt for this forum and not knowing about this 180 days, i would have just accepted that i wasnt going to get that money and i wouldnt have pursued it.
:-)

Congratulations!
Unfortunately with the recent PayPal issues with the 'confirm your identity' permanent limitations, people may have issues getting their funds.

They are holding back £30 for something to do about liability. They will review evwry month as to date of the email up to 180 days.
No problem as i.got the rest out but annoying that the 180 days was up the end of feb but yet i may have to.wait another 180 days from the 31st december for the rest. Im not moaning.as ive been lucky but its like they have reset the limitation again, if that makes sense :-

ive got 5mths left to wait!!
they say there holding it in case of any 'payment reversals' I assume they mean 'chargebacks' btw, whats the time limit a buyer has to file one of these?
money locked in there is only from ebay sales, nothing outside of ebay at all
all buyers have now left pos feedback, so im hoping they'll release MUCH sooner than 6mths!!

I check my old e-mails in the user account they were created - log the dates when I need to check and such.

sure its been asked before, BUT surely paypal must be acting illegaly in some way by doing this...
I know we cant exactly start legal proceedings against them, but like many others, in my paypal it says "we need more info to confirm ur identity" but when logged in paypal there is NO option / buttons to upload any proof, and it says on the home page "cannot be appealed against"
loads of talk bout the new people checking electoral role, credit checks etc, but I don't agree... im sure paypal have had access to check those 2 for years themselves, since the start
I think the NEW companys are solely to tell paypal whether or not the docs, or more so Drivers Licence Scans are ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or real? I looked into the the new comanys there using from the new 'terms' you can tell just be looking at the sites that there more than capable of easily detecting ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs
so, say you don't hold a drivers licence (which many don't) and you also don't have a Passport (which many don't)
would paypal settle for just ultility bills for id reasons..... lots of people out there have NO photo id at all, im sure.
I only have a drivers licence at present

You cannot send money, request money, pay invoices etc..

VERY rare to not have ANY photo ID at all....especially in this day and age.
PayPal have terms & conditions and say they can hold money for as long as they want.
In fact, they hold money longer than banks do, if a bank wants to close your accounts they hold funds for 2 months.
Even if it is credit checks or whatever, lots of ways round it. Quote:

and the amount of national ID cards....
If you open a bank account, photo ID is needed. PayPal know all this and people have alternative ways of providing photo ID.
Lots of government issued ID cards apart from the 2 obvious ones.

If you are asking for a USA account, then a bank account is the better option.
Hope that helps.
