I am also using Google Voice (which I bought for $5 I guess) with US Paypal and no issues so far.

I usually bought virtual SIM cards, just to receive smsīas it isn't that expensive and work well for me. I can access it every time i want. You dont need to pay x/month to receive smsīs.

but paypay demands the "phone be in your name" so how would google voice work?

I guess, we are talking about US paypal account.
Normally you could get some virtual phone and register to that name but it would take a while, and not sure if this method still works.

Hello guys
My pc had a serious problem and I had to do a format.
My problem now is that I cannot log in into my pp accounts. Asking me for phone verification and I don't have the phone numbers because they are random.
Do you know what I need to do?

If someone has issue with SMS verification -> wait a few weeks and try again -> no SMS verifiation this time ( or at least it appears periodically)

But beware , shoud your ever experience 180day hold , and want to withdraw, better have your phone ready -> there will be SMS verification upon withdrawal.

On paypal italian accounts they introduced 2 factor authentication just these days.
Anyone got an idea where to buy italian virtual sims to verify the sms that you receive?

If you don't log in for a couple days, and then try to log in again, sometimes it doens't ask you for sms verification, but probably they will fix this soon, cause they introduced it only recently...

I found a way to bypass the PP phone verification without calling pp and I wanted to share it with you.
Try to resent the SMS over and over again to your old phone number Until you get the message "We are unable to verify that it's you"
Log in to PayPal after one week, it's gone.

Yes this to enforce the latest PSD2 regulations. They are currently rolling out that function in all european countries. Let's see how it will be.

How they actually check name on the phone accounts? Just by asking cellular bill?
