Paypal Case: Invalid or missing transaction ID. Please select again.

Okay so buyer purchase item March 27th, I refunded on July 9th (item was inexpensive). Now buyer opened a paypal case asking for a refund? Paypal has an option to show proof I sent a refund by providing a transaction Id. When I copy paste the id from the transaction it says: Invalid or missing transaction ID. Please select again. I can either dispute the case, call, or is there a better option?

If this is some sort of paypal/ebay glitch, then you'll have to call. In these cases, as long as you're nice and calm to the CS, there shouldn't be a problem.
