I called and they told me that the package was being checked at Customs...
and asked me to call back Monday to speak with their Import Department.
This is weird because I usually get everything delivered fine after it clears Cincinnati customs, looks like this time it did cleared and it was held right before leaving the final gateway to my local DHL office for delivery...


Should I call back Monday???

For my experience,your package is mostly like being seized by us custom right now,so it is hard to get it out if your packages are vero products .

Talk with your supplier and do some paperwork for this deal.Or you can beginning make next deal soon

I called DHL and they told me that Customs have recalled the package, they have no idea as to why they decide to call the package back after it was already in the delivery truck. All they say is that their import dpt will be calling me within a couple of hrs...

any ideas??

Sounds like the shipping agency is bogus and backfired meaning the payment for the shipment may have not gone through. I have seen this and DHL is full of dumba.sses so you are going to have to harass them for a solid answer but I almost guarantee this is a problem with shipping agency and all packages from that particular agency in transit become frozen.

Update: received 1 box late today with half of the items :pry:, apparently the shipper divided the order in 2 boxes!.. why? I have no idea.. so I received box #2, the driver couldn't scan the box because box #1 has the bar code... he told me that for some reason it was recalled by the shipper and that I may see it delivered tomorrow.
I will contact the seller tonight, and see WTH they shipped my order in 2 boxes instead of just 1.

Guys,guys why DHL? HKEMS is the same speed. usually 24 hours.
I got screwed with DHL last week,I waited for them all day then they say they couldnt ring the doorbell. Mind you,it is an apartment building.
Never again.

Haha, DHL shipments never fail to end in the biggest cluster f*ck possible.

Isn't it odd that it the "Clearance Processing" Was completed in Ohio? And then when it gets to Florida its be seized by US Customs, which is what the lady said on the phone when I called.

Also sucks, cause Ive got 2 more orders coming via DHL this week, from 2 different suppliers. Im scared to see how this will turn out.

Just had the same problem, cleared Cincinatti now it's being held in DC customs, the seller put different zipcode on it, I called DHL they said I need to call customs, anyone ever have their package released after calling customs?

Something is definitely changing here with DHL. What the f*ck is going on...

Something is Going on at DHL I also have had some problems of late,,,Same EXACT Problem as jbluntz Clearing Customs in Cincinnatti and getting Seized at the NYGateway when Normally the Packages NEVER even go to the NY Gateway,,It has happened to me More that once in the last few Days with the Packages having DIFFERENT Addresses,,,so something is going on,,

Woah woah woah! Please elaborate on the CF seizing week. Is this a reoccurring thing? If so, then it makes SO MUCH SENSE. I am dealing with issues right now with packages being held and seized that are making me have a nervous breakdown. Based on what you just said, will this problem alleviate itself after the seizing time period is over? Any elaboration would be greatly appreciated.

I'm on this boat too and freaking out about it. I can say that it is definitely not a DHL only issue. I spread my shipments out between DHL, EMS, and HK Post. All of my stuff has been held and only about 1/2 has been released. This leads me to believe that it is definitely a seizure week. Thoughts? Someone please say something that will calm my ulcer lol.

Just happened to me. My advise would be not call. I would start seeking a refund through your credit card company or through DH Gate etc. From what I have read I think we should all avoid customs at all costs.

Also, with the stuff that is seized during this week, are those associated addresses now blacklisted?

These little seizing weeks/crackdowns happen more often than not. Good suppliers will know roughly when it's happening.

It's the seizing at local stations after having already cleared customs and then the irregular rerouting through NY gateway that is really becoming puzzling...

I think it's because the sellers are putting different zipcodes on the packages in my case it was a DC zipcode when I'm on the west coast and DHL is catching on to it, that's my guess but other than that EMS is still working perfect for me.

Interesting. I am still convinced that we are going through a seizure week, which annoys me. I mean, come on. All these spending cuts in the government and officials still have nothing better to do than hold our packages full of Chinese trinkets? Another little girl just got kidnapped in my area. These guys should be looking for her, not spending tax dollars holding our packages.

DHL has been good to most of us. If you start having issues with more than likely your supplier messing up... good things worked out for you. took awhile but it got there!

I agree with Slapped. Something is going on at DHL, but I don't know exactly what.
