legit but my main concern was my parcel was going to be delayed due to a parcel that is currently under customs (blacklisted address).... so far customs blacklisting is a myth... will get a new shipment soon.. too bad China is in a holiday and have to wait till next week.. -__-'

Well, here we go again. I feel like we are back in the middle of another customs rampage week. I have 2 packages that have been permanently detained through the NYC gateway, which they shouldn't even pass through by the way. How does this happen? Who flags them and gets them sent to NYC? My supplier, who I trust, ensures me my one address is fine. He says that this whole thing is just a shot in the dark and customs seizes some packages and not others. 2 is enough for me. I'm getting a new address tomorrow. Thoughts?

In the past 9 months that ive been ordering stuff from overseas using DHL, I have never had a package go to NYC.. Until yesterday. Very weird.. Then it went to Cincinnati, now its on its way to Orlando, which I can only hope for the best. I really hate when they do their rampage week. *******s... But, I guess when you messing with that stuff, its the chances you take.

Your supplier is correct,,,This happens Rarely when Cincinatti is Overwhelemed ( and Sometimes by Mistake).

Since DHL is also set up to do customs inspections at Kennedy Airport (N.Y. Gateway) they just send Their Eastern Bound Packages to N.Y for Customs Clearence,,and since N.Y is A LOT better Equipped for Customs Processing MANY More Packages get seized, The Gateways, in BOTH LA AND NYC are GRAVEYARDS for Chinese VERO

I'm telling ya man, EMS is the way to go.

People will say it doesn't matter between EMS and DHL because everything goes through customs (which is true, everything does go through customs), but if you look around this subforum (shipping) and read, you'll see most packages that people have had seized were shipped via Fedex/DHL/UPS. I just mentioned in another thread in this subforum that local news where I live always has stories on (especially this time of year) about shipments of product from China being seized, and it's always at the Fedex/DHL/UPS warehouses by the airport. I'm not saying EMS never gets seized, but, again, if you read this subforum, you'll see lots more packages/parcels seem to get seized via DHL/Fedex/UPS vs. EMS. The couple posters who post in this subforum who are live in China will tell you the same.

I'll never use anything other than EMS/USPS again. It's worth the wait.

Just go get a PO Box at the nearest USPS location. It's like $20-$30 for 6 months. Then, if your package gets seized again, just switch to a new PO Box. I also change the business name I use as well when I switch PO Box's.

Well, I haven't yet, as I haven't had to switch PO Box's yet *knocks on wood*

I have never had a package go through NY without being seized. this one went from NY to Cincy to NT To Cincy to NY. It looked like it passed there for a minute (step 14) but I am sure it is toast now.

mine has been thru customs 3 times so far. Has been in several places in china for a week and 2wice in customs. Then went to hong kong yesterday in customs again.now departing hong kong to who knows where? Unreal. If they seize your stuff..do you get refund from the seller and dhl too? Never had mine seized ..but mine last 2 orders take forever from china.this order hasnt come yet was shipped dhl march 3rd.. Been in customs 3 times in different places. Now its leaving hong kong.
