I have had it with lost packages to Germany. I have had 4 out of 6 packages go "missing" this month. For a civilized country they have a lot of problems with mail. I have packages to Libya and Zimbabwe make it more often than Germany. I think I am going to put Germany on my blocked sales list. Which country is the worst for you guys to ship to?

I've had similar issues shipping from the UK to Italy. Three out five items posted in the last six weeks have never been received.

Germany has very strict customs clearance procedures - so packages are often delayed rather than missing.
The worst countries are the ones where you can't track the package in. Germany is one of those which makes things ever worser...
You can't track packages in the UK or France either but they have a higher arrival rate and buyers are honest.
Packages to Sri Lanka go missing very often.

Brazil is absolutely awful. I've had the worst buyers buy from me and they were from that country.
So I no longer ship there.

USA is the worst for me. Lose packages all the time or get delivered to some random address and are basically powerless to do anything about it.

@Sneakee
Sometimes it's your own domestic postal service that gives the most grief.
Early December 2010 90% of items shipped from Tacoma to other parts of the West Coast
all went astray. ALL different depots all disasters.
Ad dont start me on the UK or Australian ( complete lack of) postal services.

I always exclude Asia, the Middle Easta and Africa.
But the Country that has given me the most grief is CANADA! The packages eventually make it, but the buyers get irate if they do not receive them in a timely manner and they cannot be tracked once they leave the USA (at least not that I am aware of).

The country with the most problems for me has been Australia. I don't ship to Australia anymore. GB I just love your country, I was there for 1 month some years ago, but the headaches are too much.
I ship to Canada just fine, kinda slow postal delivery but still good. For some reason, any size package always takes at least 2 weeks to get anywhere in Canada.

| Priority mail packages are not updated once they get past Canadian customs. Have received numerous packages - tracking is basically useless...
Priority mail is the same speed as first class mail when shipping to Canada. The only reliable method is UPS, Fedex, and other private couriers - but be warned of duties! Cannot stress this enough....they charge a leg and an arm to simply process paper work!

For any international packages - your tracking number needs to start with RR in order for it to be tracked (unless you are using express services).
Anytime you are shipping internationally using USPS always ask for a tracking number - the only valid tracking number is one that starts with RR.
I never had any particular problems with Canada, you have to use Canada Post to track shipments once they arrive there.
As for blocking the entire Middle East - I think this is a mistake, you have to pick and choose which countries you want to ship to. Israel is okay but obviously I would not ship to Iraq, Libya or Iran. Turkey is okay to ship to too.
You can also ship to Australia but in order to track the package you have to contact Australia Post - I always post questions with tracking numbers on their twitter account and they answer, usually, within a day.
You should know the unless you are shipping express to certain countries you are not covered by seller protection - any country that does not offer tracking for incoming international parcels is not safe to ship to unless you are using express shipping.
This means: France, UK, India and Germany. Most buyers from there are honest and packages are received - but don't risk more than you are willing to lose.
