What service at USPS did you pay for exactly? and what lady told you it can't be tracked?

Yes, 1st class international mail cant not be tracked once its outside the US. You would need upgrade it to Express mail to track it.

He said USPS not UPS.

They say that it cant be tracked but it in most cases will show accepted, processed, etc, etc, then delivered.

that is tracking. They even say it on thei main webpage. say list tracking info in here. then shows you which number on the customs forms to enter. They say in person its not tracking but it is completely tracking.

If you want to make sure it gets there use insurance,
'

I have to get a huge marker and write SCAN ME or PLEASE SCAN PKG all over my intentional ones now. It helps with about 2 out of 10 I send out. The rest have NEVER shows any tracking info. Other folks from different areas say they have all stops tracked all the way in route. Not ours.

Sadly it's true - USPS first class international is not trackable. Not much can be done except contact the bidder and hope he/she cooperates by saying Thanks for the package - received.

I don't think paypal will do that and besides, the buyer can still receive the package and when paypal calls to verify, the buyer can say, "I didn't receive jack".

You might want to call or ask at a USPS post office if International Priority can be tracked or not. I don't know about that one. They might have more options with priority but it's more expensive.

That is the way with me. Since I am on the west coast, all international shipments stop at LA. Most of the times I only ship to Canada and Japan only.

It will not keep updating, those 2 updates in the US are the last ones you will get.

It is not stupid, you pay for what you get. You pay the cheapest price and you'll get the cheapest service. I hate to say it but it's everywhere.

Just use the express mail option. It includes insurance and has to be signed for. the flat rate envelopes hold a ton of stuff and are really not that much more than other options with the USPS. Depends on how much the item is though. I dont have a problem paying $10 extra on top of what they paid to get peace of mind.

They have their problems though too with tracking. but its safer that regular 1st class.
