Best shipping method 550kg/10,000 pieces

Thinking of making a big order coming from china to uk, I've found a really good supplier with good prices but there dhl shipping prices seem very high, so thinking of seeing if they let me arrange my own shipping to cut the costs, but not sure the best way to do it, i don't mind about waiting abit longer for it as long as it gets here safely and is a lot cheaper than dhl, would be greatful for any advice

The product I want to order is usually 10cmx10cmx10cm weighing 5.5kg and contains 100peices , I want to order 10,000 pieces not sure the size but weight would be 550kg

You need to look into a LCL (part container load). Type in UK freight forwarding on google, email different companies with the details of the consignments, weight and port to leave in China (assume the supplier can work on FOB basis). Then just compare quotes, you will save a lot of money. But bare in mind, shipping will take 25-35 days depending on the container ship and 3-7 days clearance in the UK, so you will not have your product as fast as you would with DHL.

I currently import 40"HQ containers, costs me £1922 from China to my door...

sea freight is best method

let them get a freight company and when it arrives you will need to clear goods

Worth looking into a customs broker agent to safely clear too
