I got my old ebay account back after being banned years ago.

Ebay reinstated my banned account out of the blue. Has this happened to anyone else?

Happens to a lot of people. A year or two ago, ebay reinstated tons of accounts as long as you paid the back fees.

It happen to me like last week. Congratulation and keep it well. I haven't even sell on mine yet and dont plan to. It will be use as a back up mainly. You figure ebay is losing ground to sales, I figure they plan to bring more people back but is it too late.

+1 for them trying, it could do them a lot of good.

Good for the sellers who got unlucky in the past. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance and Ebay was acting arrogant back in the day banning people left and right like they were god or something!

Hope Ebay will always be in a bad position where they need more sellers to come in

They were god. No one was invincible on their playground except them.

Ebay is not desperate. Their stock is still climbing for years now. They just want good sellers and more USA sellers.

That would be up to paypal. Call paypal and find out if/how you can be reinstated.

PP isn't really known for great reinstatement rates without active appealing on the user's part - listen to Yankee's advice.

Call them and ask them what you need to do. They may say you can never use ebay again or they may say pay old fees etc...

well right now ebay is going to want as many new sellers as they can get. Once the new update hits and they bring in the new payment processor ,it probably will be slow at first . I doubt buyers are going to trust the new system fully,until a few months later.

I have noticed its a lot easier to get unbanned lately .

I wrote them mail before year. First they told me that account will be reinstate after few months. After that I wrote again to ask why account is still suspended and other eBay customer service wrote that his colegue made mistake and suspension is final. Absolute joke.

I dont know how they work nowadays.

When calling eBay and getting promises ALWAYS take call reference number so later you have proof.
