Default Vero second chance offers???

I have a question. What happens when you sell a high risk vero item as auction and when the auction ends you send second chance offers to sell more of the same product????? Do you get vero-ed for doing that?? Do you get restricted or suspended?? Has anyone tried that???

I think this is a great idea for selling vero items that you can only sell one without it being removed.

Give your thoughts and opinions thanks!!!

Not too sure but it seems like a good idea along with making the listing duration to 30 days. :D

yes great idea in theory, thats why I think ebay are on to it, I mean you get a sale and then sell it to another 2 bidders, even though the 1st sale went through to paypal, I mean its not like you didnt get the sale and had to sell it elsewhere, so for a brand you can only list every 30 days, this is perfect way to bypass that - ebay know this!! There are certain branded products you should not have 3 of, or they are suspicious, it depends on product..eg. 3 dvd sets yes ok, you might have 3 of them, but 3 designer handbags, thats less credible...if you are a business seller, I think you have more options on amounts....another thing they are thinking, if that person had 3 of them, why didnt they do auction and BIN options and have 3 as quantity? 2nd chance is mainly designed for those who have a buyer who after bidding, says they dont want item....so you are abusing it if you are not careful.........

say you are lucky enough to sell one , then the 2nd chance for some reason is more likely to get an immediate takedown - dont ask me why, but I think 2nd chance veros are scanned by ebay because it cannot be from another user because they are not on public display. My opinion, try it out and use with caution, if you get one takedown, best not to do it in future, no hard fast rules on this..but my experience on this a long while ago was a substantial amount of takedowns, more than one would usually get randomly, so I stopped...

I think if you use paypal for this, you need to be careful. They might assume you don't have the inventory if you just listed one, and then all of a sudden you sell to 4 people with second chance offers on the same listing.

FYI, I do it all the time

I know I ramble a bit...but basically if a vero item is paid for by paypal, and you give 2nd chance offer, then depending on credibility of whether you would have more than one of these, you may or may not have problems. eg. designer handbag and private seller, you would assume would only have one of these.

exactly. I know paypal sees second chance offers as a possible scam, simply because it has been known to be a method of fraud. It often triggers a limitation that asks for invoices and inventory proof, if you do it frequently.

I have listed one single item that was very popular and subsequently issued nearly 200 second chance offers. I had absolutely no complication.

I have repeated this on more than one occasion. Never had a problem.

There are things to be considered, though. I did this with a very well established account. The items I have done this with were not normally items that a scammer would capitalize on. I have an immaculate feedback rating on the account involved. I have not done this recently. New internal policies may negate my past experiences.

I have also done this many times, eBay mostly didn't care, and that is as I was in good standing with a lot of 100% feedback. In my case PayPal is the one that shot me down and did it hard. PayPal required so much paperwork it was unbelievable, not just proof of items, but for each individual item going back 10+ sales over the past 4 weeks of different auctions.
1 second chance was never a problem for me, though offering more than this is not a good idea; well not unless your eBay or PayPal are on their way out anyway.
