Default Paymate

Well I just wanted to update everyone on my thought of Paymate. Well I have just as many buyrs that I did with Paypal. I simple put the Accepted Payment Provide logo on my Auctions and this:

Paymate is a proven payment service and is available for eBay members on Ebay as an approved payment method.
Buyers making a purchase on eBay via Paymate are covered by eBay's Buyer Protection Program

I have to say everything is running smooth. I had a few buyers ask about paymate but I provided them with the information and min later their payment showed up.

I still have 2 other stealth accounts that use PP to. I flip the listed back and forth .....

Yeah I use it for certain VERO items that I know are red flags to Paypal and it works like a charm!

Just another update on Paymate since it is all that I take now on EBay. I have had about the same number of buyers that I did with Paypal. I have been getting deposits into my bank account about every 3-4 days. It has been a few weeks and I have pulled in more that 8,000.

I have even had buyers contact me after a auction is ended to ask if I have more and I send them a Paymate invoice and they pay it.

Good Bye Paypal, I don't need you anymore......

There is an initial $5,000 per month limit, but you can pay a small one time fee to have them up your limit to $10,000 per month. Payment is sometimes a day or two later then what they quote, but other than that.... I LOVE PAYMATE!

How long do it take for a payment to clear before you can ship a order?

Paymate has been smooth sailing for me, So far... They send you an email within about 2-3 days letting you know you can ship the item, personally, I don't ship till the money hits my bank 1-3 days later...

I have been using Paymate for over 4 months now and I love them. The processing time it takes for payments has gotten better over the past 2 months. I still use Paypal on some of my accounts. If I am selling something that I know Paypal will consider "high risk" then I use Paymate.

You should try using paypal for off ebay sales, they don't care what you sell and they take the sellers side. I sold some software on craigslist said I would only take paypal and have it shipped, shipped it out the next day with tracking, as soon as the guy gets it opens a dispute then escalates it to a claim without even contacting me and paypal closes it in a snap same day, no questions asked, no refund. I could of sent him a bag of dirt lol I wouldn't do that though. Paypal rules off ebay as long as you have that tracking that's all you need.

I don't know if you can have a Paymate account since you live in Canada. You should just call and talk to them about your situation. Unlike Paypal you can actually explain your issue to them and they will work with you. I just wish they didn't have monthly limits otherwise i would be doing 20k month with them if I didn't think I would run into any issues.

I was told by them you can, BUT:
  • Need a US based bank
  • Need a US tax ID
  • Need a US based address

Seemed like way too much to deal with when there are other options, so I just moved on.
