I agree, and they will soon realize that suspending or restricting sellers is going to cost them money. We're the ones who pay the fees, and theat;s how they make money.

imjustme 11-20-2010 02:16 PM

Suspending accounts, they don't care about that. But that's because until now sellers could always just register again and list another 100 items right from the start. No loss for eBay. But now they're suspending existing sellers that list hundreds of items, as they have always done ...but they don't allow new sellers to grow fast enough. Very soon you'll see less and less listings on eBay, because existing sellers that were able to sell a lot are still getting suspended at the same rate, while new sellers can only list 30 items in the first 3 months. So, my guess is ...this is because of the holiday season and will relax after Christmas.

youniverseonline 11-21-2010 02:36 AM

I opened a 2nd account, some how i started out with low amount,
Like 10 items ever 30 days and $500 limit,
Then like the 5th day i had this new account they bumped me up,
To 100 items and $5,000 a month,
I did not ask or do anything, but i notice i can only sale 10 at a time it says,
But i was able to list 18 items on a 1 week new account at once,
Then it it wouldn't let me do anymore,
Once i reach less 10 items for sale it lets me start again,
I have no idea how all this happened,
I didn't link this account or anything and i find it all strange,

HowYaLivin 11-21-2010 07:28 PM

thats weird hmm...

youniverseonline 11-21-2010 09:00 PM

You know you get 100 free listing a month right now,
Well i have listed over 18 items and still have 90 left,
Maybe a glitch or something,
I am not complaining just find this all funny,
Take advantage of this while it is working,

moonchild 11-22-2010 12:33 AM

Canada Too

HurricaneHuntr 11-22-2010 12:38 AM

Gayest part of the 10 is when bidders dont pay or back out...

youniverseonline 11-22-2010 12:40 AM

How often do you guys have a back out or non paying customer?
Thanks

lagoonclub 11-22-2010 01:26 AM

For me, less than, but around 10%.

youniverseonline 11-22-2010 01:29 AM

Do you leave the a neutral or negative feedback,
Can't they be reported,

lagoonclub 11-22-2010 01:40 AM

With my accounts, and what I'm selling, I just give them positive feedback and push for positive (have had success with that). Then I just re-list.

youniverseonline 11-22-2010 01:54 AM

Now since i bragged and listed another item it wont let me,
Says only 10 pre month now and i have listed over 18 this month,
Even thou it says this still,
ou can sell up to 100 items or up to $5,000.00
per month, whichever comes first.

HurricaneHuntr 11-22-2010 02:10 AM

I swear it's just random. Anyway, its almost december and we can list 10 more... LOL glad i have many new stealths

youniverseonline 11-22-2010 02:13 AM

I may call them tomorrow and ask them what is up,
I am not selling vero items,
Tell them it says 100items pre month,
When i try and list now it says 10 pre month,
I was on the phone with them today had to wait 65mins on another matter,

mixa77780 11-22-2010 12:29 PM

i figured out it works-just put 7-8 items for sale(some simple cheap stuff u can prove with reicipt) in 7-10 days and then just call ebay and ask for higher limit(make sure u have 3-5 seller feedback by this time, dont buy chinise crap for feedbacks!they will loock at your acct!)-they will do it for sure-sometimes up to 100,sometimes up to 50 items...if u creative and can show them that u doing good it will be higher!

aking 11-22-2010 12:42 PM

eBay just told me I can only sell $500 a month on one new account. They are just getting ridiculous at this point. Not only does paypal hold you money, but now ebay limits your selling amount? LOL eBay won't last long with this kind of stuff going on.

I guess I'll just have to get busy and make like 10 accounts this week.

moneyhungry 11-22-2010 01:14 PM

10 items is for everyone during holiday season

Guys thanks for the answer...appreciate it. However can anyone else verify on this? Pratically tried before? I wouldnt want to risk canceling my 2 listings and later find that I cant list anymore and have to wait for 30 days long. Thanks!

hi, they are hitting new accounts based on AGE with 10 items or $500 per month whichever comes first. now if accounts is say 6 months or older i have seen 20 items, 1,000 permonth etc this is tightening up for the holidays if you didnt open your accounts already ( change to sellers accounts) expect this . hope this helps. i have had this on a few of mine recently but one older i had much more freedon with higher limits

lordik 11-23-2010 02:06 AM

Im sure that now amount of new registered accounts will be increased at least x2...
Now every 2nd registered on ebay account will be stealth account...

oomalikoo 12-02-2010 01:41 PM

If you go into eBay, you can click on the left hand side where it says "all selling". Once you do that, on the top portion of the screen it will show you all the information you need right out in the open.

Hope this helps.

5MPdew 12-03-2010 07:56 AM

When making multiple accounts can we link them to the same PayPal account?

HurricaneHuntr 12-03-2010 04:52 PM

And if 1 of your 10 from last month runs into the new month.. IT COUNTS FOR BOTH MONTHS ..... LOL?

Stupid...

I figured 10 was gonna stay for 1 month, but 2 months? I suspect 3 months as well? God gotta make more accounts just for the future

imjustme 12-03-2010 06:42 PM

I have an account where I sold 10 in the 1st month. I got 3 feedback from those sales and the 2nd month it let me sell 12, then got slapped with the limit again. My guess is that it increases slightly as you receive feedback. And after 3 months you're probably bumped to the 100 limit.

jerry 12-06-2010 02:00 AM

I have an ebay account which is more than one year old. I recently bought a few items got my feedback score to five and then I was slapped with the selling limit of $500 a month that with the 21 day hold from paypal is killing me.

On there FAQ page for selling limits they say you can lift the limit by confirming your identity. How do you go about doing that?

Is there any way to completely remove the limit?

museman 12-06-2010 06:15 PM

I wouldn't call them, patience pays. Tough it out for 90 days and make more accounts. After the limits get raised you might not need to use them all so you would have some in reserve for later. At least that's what I would do...

Unless you sell cheap items in bulk then it's going to be a big pain only being able to do 10 at a time...

jerry 12-07-2010 07:36 AM

So does anybody know how to completely remove the limit or have it bumped to around 20k a month?

So what feedback score do you need to completely remove the limit?

Is the limit here to stay or here until the end of Decemeber?

imjustme 12-07-2010 08:52 AM

Nobody knows. It was implemented for "new sellers" in October and it's supposedly 3 months (90 days) from the first item listed. So the earliest anyone will know is in January.

paypal thieves

Does anyone know how to make PAYPAL return money they have been holding hostage for 3 months now? I'm talking about $1,600.00 that I can not touch .EBAY/PAYPAL froze my account and refused to return my hard earned profits untill the end of March,2011. I had A 100 % rating and they just ended the account and refuse to tell me why. Just bought EBAYSTEALTH and am looking forward to getting started again, but I am flat broke and it would be nice to have some of my own money back so I could get started. Please, if anyone has any thoughts , let me know. I'm talking giving no Christmas presents and hotdogs for dinner. HELP!!!!!!!

Being broke and not being able to sell can be the pits. And these new selling limits make things even worse. Right now I'm in conserve mode. Just trying to tough it out. I hate withdrawing from my savings to pay the bills. Right now, if I can make just enough for living expenses, I'll be happy. Never mind the new clothes or gadgets. I just hope after the 90 days I can start selling again. Ebay's new limits are contributing more to the decline of the economy.
Selling online is the main source of income for lots of unemployed people. And Ebay has taken away many peoples' lifeline by implementing these limits. Good luck my friend. You can try pasta as well. Quite economical and does not clog your arteries like the hot dogs.

HowYaLivin 12-10-2010 09:08 PM

Most ppl on this forum have gone thru the same dilemma and conquered the adversity. Don't fret, patience is a virtue

HowYaLivin 12-11-2010 12:26 PM

My friend opened two new accts in December and had no limits on how many items he could sell. I think the 10 item limit is dead.

Going to try in 5 mins, but pretty sure the limit applies for certain categories.

HowYaLivin 12-11-2010 12:47 PM

I will confirm also, as I sell in the same category he does.

mosguy 12-11-2010 12:55 PM

the limit is still there

'

I do this ALL the time because I am so paranoid about them tracking me and having more info. on me! Yikes

jerry 12-18-2010 02:34 PM

Do you think this selling limit will be increased or lifted in January?

imjustme 12-18-2010 02:56 PM

I wish I knew. All we can do is wait and find out. I've got my first account going past the 90 days in mid-January. There's also the question as to how high it will be lifted. Some people are suggesting that after 90 days you can list 25 items per month, others are suggesting 100 items.

Some people also think that the selling limit is only due to Christmas, others are thinking that it's here to stay. I can't imagine eBay keeping this up for long, as they're suspending existing sellers at a faster rate than they allow new sellers to grow. But who knows ..

jerry 12-18-2010 03:05 PM

If the limit goes up to at least 5k a month then a lot of people will be able to survive with multiple ebay accounts but with a $500 a month limit it's really not possible for most people.

I think this limit is here because of Christmas.

Imjustme, last year when they placed the phone verification requirement do you know what date they exactly reduced the requirment to the email requirement?

Maybe that date will apply to this limit.
