Default Paypal and SpoofCard Problems

Just a heads up for everyone... Paypal has blocked the Spoof Card Service. It might work then you will be interrupted by an automated system telling you "due to recent screening we have found some problems with your account and we need to talk to you, please have your PIN ready (Spoof Card PIN) and call this number..."

Just a heads up... I have had a LOT of experience with these spoofing services, Telespoof in particular, and they DO work most of the time. I am skeptical, however, of their ability to fool a toll-free number.

Telephone companies provide information directly to the toll free number owners. The rationale behind this is that since they are paying for the call, they have the right to know who is calling them.

I can't say for sure that this won't work with the toll-free numbers, but be careful. If you have a choice of calling toll free, or regular long distance, calling long distance would be safer.

I hate to bump an old thread but I saw on amw that they found out who a guy was because he was using this spoofcard service and they record every call so I guess this service wants to see why are you spoofcalling people ?

The problem is, these services can be used for lots of bad stuff.

Stealth would be one of the more innocent uses.

But if you search around, you will see people discussing their use for bank fraud, credit card fraud and even worse. So, it does not surprise me that they want to police this a little bit.
