Word to the wise.
Forum does not do third party advice. If the friend is that eager to do ebay, let them do the hard graft.

Not because your heart is not in the right place, 'Bunny because I know for sure it is, but if you make an error in translating the info OR they have not told you the correct facts, then there might be dramas. result, a hacked off lazy friend

Work on your own accounts.

no - i understand what you are saying - i have enough on my plate at the mo :(

Its not just a normal user acc - she & her hubby have a family and they are about to invest a significant amount of cash and go legit - cos they can and want to run it right.
They are total newbies when it comes to p;p and e;b and was just getting some help from me a couple of weeks ago - then the restriction came.

Now she still keeps visiting me - laughing at me when i freak out about her using my network and using e;b (she's researching the market and keeping an eye out for an expensive equipment bargain)- she thinks im being daft & paranoid and they surely cannot be that unreasonable - (that's the newbie naive attitude we all had at first).

She is gonna do the hard graft - its nothing at all to do with me. Im just a not-so-innocent friendly internet connection for her when she's visiting (which is a lot lately!)

Anyway - ive warned her over & over so not much more I can do.

Thanks to you all

Be careful of her TOUCHING your internet then.

It's not worth the risk to YOU.

im going onto PAUG dongle for stealth - cant use my own connection anymore

I have logged 4 the last time last night (my real acc), to find pay for my last items, and mark the last purchase as dispatched. Im gonna miss that account - i had 900 FB (mainly from buying) (had about 8 new FB from very happy buyers too :( ). I had to use my connection/ip.
Im only going to re log in if i have to bring up a dispute over non-reciept of items (i have stuff coming from abroad) - or should i just go into pp for this if i need to.

But my daughters's acc - which is still up - 6 days and counting now (since i was restricted) is being accessed on the same network; occasionally (about 2-3 times per week - less when she cant list anymore items).

She just sold 4 items out of 5. They are only giving her 10 a month lol.
I formatted her HD (as she used to use my acc on her laptop all the time) and renamed her pc/user name to her real name.

I thought they could not base links on just IP? (im thinking of my friend - not my daughter, as i am 99% sure they will take her down with me grrr)

they dont form a solid link on just IP but it may mean they look closer at your account if your sharing IP with a suspended account..

Its more likely that you've been caught out with cookies or similar details on the accounts - or could even be selling similar products and using same photos and descriptions?

@Bunny, you have the stealth guide now, you also appear to be using the forum properly. Asking and searching.

Your daughters account seems to be limited and if it is not new then her selling history must be below standard. So if you are going to be using this, make sure you increase the DSR's and make sure your daughter stops selling on it.

With 10 items a month limit, you might as well open your own stealth accounts for sure, I understand that your daughter can provide ID but this is to only way to increase your limits. Forget abour having to provide documents for a stealth account for now, just wait until it happens, you may find away around it by then

Don't forget to keep accounts SEPERATE. That means the pajama party with your friend using your internet has to stop. DONGLE ALL THE WAY :D
