Oh and by the way apparently or at least I suspect so. The reason it was "slow on ebay yesterday" was due to my duplicate listings. Some German buyer told me he could only see 1 listing of mine instead of 10 :):noidea:

In fact he wasn't even my buyer. I got really mad at him when he inquired about shipping cost to Germany and I told his straight out 38$. His reply was a laugh. Made me upset and I explained to him that the only way to send USPS is with a tracking number and that means by express because priority and first class mail do not provide tracking number. Anyways we exchanged more than 10 emails but I finally decided to tell him because he was so nice in the end I will let him have the item for free as long as he pays for shipping (the cheapest one) :)

Did you do all using the same format or 1 fixed price, 1 auction, etc?

It's 1 day auction. I only sell auction. No buy-it-now format.

So what are you going to do now? Just rely on 10+ stealth accounts and list 1 item each?

Sometimes changing pictures helps to avoid duplicate listings but eBay's system is buggy. I don't think they know themselves how to fix it. I have ways for example how to manipulate their category limit. I always avoid it but it requires some extra manual work. Also I have another desktop computer and when I search ebay using Chrome for items on ebay , complete listing is located right on top. WTF ? How is it even possible? I know they hid complete listings function under Show only. Seriously eBay is screwed big time!

No .... I still list 10 same auctions , same format on the same account :) And I am planning to do the same thing on my other accounts. Just different color. It's easier this way. Think about it this way ... I listed 10 products which are the same and of the same color one one account then I go and list on my second account the same product but different color. It's so much easier to manage it this way ...

I can't afford it :( I hope no one will report me but I think you might have a good point! Once I have more variety I will spread it. So instead of one color I will use 10 different colors. Also the trick is to use more space (time) between one auction and another.

I think that if you make 1 fixed price with multiple quantity and 1 auction format, then spread it out say 5 accounts, you have 10 listings total.

Unfortunately I am not allowed to use buy-it-now or else my listing will get removed :(

These are VERO products. If you use But-It-Now, they will remove it. If I posted on several accounts, this means all of my other accounts will go down too.

I don't see how vero products won't be allowed to use BIN.
And if you use separate stealth accounts, I don't see how you will be linked and shut down.

Sorry I can't really go into the technicalities about how VERO operates on an open forum. These are secrets I usually keep to myself. Otherwise you know... If everyone knows what I know then eBay will eventually come up with new strategies. I am system baster :)

I know exactly what you're talking about and trust me, lots of vero parties are already catching up to it and yours will probably not last that much longer anymore. EBay and vero parties are starting to pull themselves together for cracking down on these sales a lot over the past few months.

I doubt you truly know "exactly" what I'm doing. Maybe a few technicalities that everyone else use among vero sellers, but I have my own way.

Either way, we need to figure out why our volume is so low and find a solution.

Mine are back on track this week after a poor start to jan so no moaning here.

Diversification is the only way to beat slow sales.

If you only have one product line/category then you will have several flat spots throughout the year.

Since I am only listing auctions, it is much easier to observe eBay trends than if you are only listing for buy-it-now. It's seems my auction final price decreased by at least 40% for the past 5 days.

Yup, Tumbleweed the last fortnight but sales are starting to return this week. Fingers crossed it continues :)

Okay today seems like my sales plummeted! And I am sure I am not the only one because I am following other sellers too and I can see they weren't selling as much today as in previous days. I've noticed a general slow down for the past 2 weeks.

Could be a mix of summer season beginning and run up to May holiday in US (next weekend). Also depends on demand for your product.

Summer turn down starts mid June. That will be a slower time as well.

No question in my mind that something is not quite right with eBay. I read other people having no issues selling on other venues but eBay. I'd get around 250 views for 1 day listing, now I am getting literally half of it.
