1. I noticed at times ebay will have problems with the search engine as many on ebay forums complain.

2. I noticed if you even get positive feedback but 1s it will stop and kill an account until it's gone after 1 year. I had accounts selling $300 per month then I get a 1s in STAR rating and them bam that account is dead until it's gone.

3. 1 Negative feedback on an account with less then 98% will kill it at times + that 1s you got for it.

but yeah Stan if you go from 100 sales per day down to 50! Something is really wrong check dashboard to see what % in defect also I believe it's search engine playing a HUGE role because I've seen ebay post once that they had a problem with it many times!

I've had days were a 13 of my accounts were getting 1 sale per day and Normally I'd do a lot more then after 4 or 5 days in a row of nothing or 1 per day only I stress out. Then I notice on day 8 till the rest of the month it's like 8 to 15 sales per day etc. But brings my avg down to 5 for the month because of it. LAME!

I've noticed my newer stealths selling more then my stealths that have feedback and are 18 months old and TRS. So F TRS. I don't even get the 20% discount because I don't live in the USA. Go figure. But customers trust you when they see that TRS status.

On topic: I've noticed my stealths with 1 or 2 feedback will sell an item quicker than my 20,000 feedback account! crazy...

What is the defect rate % you got on that 20k feedback account?

I drown 200+ listings GTC on my main just to get more views and sells daily.

Defect rating is 0.55% ish.. 100% feedback.

regarding the search results, I find that no matter TRS or not... doesn't make a big difference for me. Some of my regular accounts make a lot more than TRS.

I think it's just the season... some items sell on one season and not another.

Ehhh not really. I got all year around selling items. And I got book keeping for each item on a spread sheet for the last few years and I check month to month and when I get hit with slow sales I also check that out.

But 13 accounts with 1 sell per day then out of the blue BAM so many. Yet competition was getting tons? I wonder if they tinker the country search engine from the country seller or what. It is strange even some people complain about this on ebay forums itself. they would do like 300 sales per month then 3 for 1 month. I sell all year around business, my customers are 18 to 99 both male or female at a good cheap price so I don't limit my market and sell world wide. :O And when I had those 1 per day customers it was repeat business on top of it. And this was veryyy scary. When some weeks I sell 50 to 75 at times in a good month. Not much but keeps me happy.

So I don't blame Stan.

Well, here is what I noticed for myself.

Account A, B and C has been going on for 6 months non stop. Sales is good until recently in beginning July, and then it crashed and burn.

So I fired account D which is newest and has least feedback, history, etc, which hasnt been used for 6 months... that account now got more sales than account A, B and C combined.

So it could be that there's a switch that eBay flips.

So what do you think we should try? rotate accounts every month? I sometimes tried every 3 months and that didn't do anything

Anybody who claims their sales on eBay are up is full of sh*t. I am not the only one. There are countless eBay sellers (big and small) which I monitor (I have multiple browsers open with at least 40 tabs on each, each tab showing different eBay user account). I monitor each seller for many month and I clearly observe when sales are up or down. They are down for everyone, by price, bids, views etc ...

Summer is usually slow..depends on niche too but...monitoring other sellers...way to be on top of them :thumb:

That statement is utter rubbish....regardless of what you see with other sellers you have no evidence that their sales are down, you don't know what they turned over last year or the year before.

You probably aren't the only one but to say EVERYONE under the sun is down on YTD sales is ridiculous.

Yeah true I even put one of my items with a higher qty and started the bids at .01 and they sold for $1.26 thank god for other stealth accounts to make sure it's me the winner while this sells easily on other accounts for $30! Like WTF?????:smash:

LOL! No, I think you statement is ridicules. Ever visited eBay forums? Ever been to eCommerceBytes.com? Maybe you should make some inquires before calling my statement rubbish. Almost everyone on ebay knows sales are down by much since at least April and even more so since end of May.

Either eBay is purposefully tightening the ropes just before August evaluation or there are some serious technical issues on eBay or worse .... Majority of eBay buyers no longer trust eBay and shop on Amazon and elsewhere.

I just looked into my notes for August and sept and sure enough, for the past 3 years the trend is the same... people aren't looking nor buying.

Perhaps they are getting ready for school and or saving up for the holiday season

No one is arguing that sale are always slower during the month of August but there is no good explanation why sales have dropped dramatically since March of this year and especially since May.

My sales have dropped since this weekend but last year during the 15th to 21st I had almost no sales either. I just checked my bookkeeping for profits and how many I sold that day. I keep a log of it all.

But in a few days it should pick up again. No idea why the same days also. Strange! Could be a back to school thing maybe? Who knows? I think it's glitchy buggy if you ask me. But then again it depends what you sell also. I always avg the same every month for my days. But 15th to 21st of Aug last year have been dead same this week. And today is the 20th!

Well lets hope sales will pick up soon because right now I lost all motivation to list anything new and I have at least 3 new products that I haven't yet posted.

Same here man! This morning got done wrong by Ebay on top of it. Makes me wanna quit it all sooner then next year already.

I see phakers in my top category selling knock offs of products I sell all phakes and scamming buyers. When I called up the factory that does my product and asked the for this they gave me a price really high. Then I seen on the news a few weeks ago a video on my type of products and online for most people selling phakes. The scammers are taking over ebay they arn't doing anything. And on top of it. Ebay will soon be alibaba-express.

China and Scammers are really taking a toll on things for others.

Actually there are far less scammers on eBay these days then before because if you sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ products your eBay and Paypal accounts will not last for too long. Also I am sure selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ these days isn't profitable anymore like it used to be 5 years ago. Better sell generic products if you don't want to end up making tons of stealth accounts or getting sued or worse getting arrested.

Yup scammers and chinese are taking over soon. It's turning to alibaba/ebay. After my stock is sold I quit. I'm done with ebay. Moving on to something else that pays more. No PP or professional buyers who keep losing :) or Ebay putting others in favor when they shouldn't. And no one speaks english when you call. LIKE WTF?!

K they speak english but hardly! You got to explain 5 times and they transfer you to someone who understands english but doesn't really understand.
