Default Using Dormant Account (years dormant)

I have a seller account from '06 which I had forgotten about with over 50 positive seller feedback.

Any suggestions for using it to sell again?

Do the same rules apply as if I were using a new account? Sell slowly the first 90 days, no VERO, etc? Do I need to establish cookies again?

Thanks in advance!

Yes you will need to treat this like a new account. Even though it was created a long time ago in Ebay's eyes you are a new seller. It doesn't have a long term selling history established. With it being Christmas all accounts are under a closer eye. Just take it slow and you should be okay.

Exactly - go slow and build cred + rep - you have a potential solid account here.

Thanks everyone! That was definitely what I needed to know. I'm glad I didn't go crazy with listing items, only to have my account taken away, before posting here.

Interesting.

I actually have a 2007 account just sitting here with a few feedback and has not been used for a long time.

The name on it is very close to one that got suspended when I first came on this board and did not know what I was doing so I am sitting on it.

Since it is a ladies name I am thinking of changing the last name to a married name and get it running.

I probably should have been using it all along but wanted to just sit on it for a bit.

Leaving it sit does not help it because you have to treat it like it is new once you get going again.

I have others build up and doing well so I did not need this account.

Be careful, use your head and dont make any mistakes. Once you get it built up slowly and you have concrete info and banking it will be a good account.

Be aware, that on your first activity you may get a message to contact them.

Make sure you have all your info, password, email address & secret questions.

if you start out pretty slow you should not encounter the MC999 to verify your information, but if you do yes make sure you have all your information ready. and hopefully they dont give you too much trouble on the 3 questions.
