Default Merchant Accounts & ebay uk questions

When I sign up for GC do I sign up with stealth information or REAL info..?
Can they pay me via PayPal to google checkout?

Also, if I was to just disable checkout under the seller preferences then surely they would have to wait for an invoice before paying me anyway right?

Default CCNow..

Hi all.

Looking to use CCNow however I am confused as to whether they send you the money via bank transfer or the payment through the post?

They ask for 'Payment Info', why would they need that?

Also, from some previous advice I was told to sign up to CCNow with stealth info, is this best or should it be with your REAL INFO?

Thanks in advance

You need a AVS card to pass verification.

Has it not occurred to you yet that UK users here do not sell with this method?

Ok so if people in the UK do use Merchant accounts what do they use?
Google checkout with cart manager, or do you need to apply to EBAY for a merchant account with that method?

I need to get away from PayPal

Virtually impossible to do if you want to sell on eBay UK.

You can sign up for as many merchant accounts as you want, the eBay masses will still pay you via pp through eBay checkout.

ebayorbust is correct,

you can have GC or whatever as a seperate biller, in the rare case someone has not got paypal and asks for alternative....

More common is people that do not want to use or do not have a credit card and prefer cheque/postal order...when I say common, maybe a handful of enquiries a year....

In the UK you cannot get away from p/p as it is mandatory to have and offer p/p as a payment method for buyers and as I have said in numerous replies to your posts on this question 99% of buyers will opt to use p/p in preference to any other option you may offer.

UK merchant account are in the main provided by banks and e/b allow very few other options in their approved payment methods.

I would suggest you read this (approved payment options) before wasting any more of your time trying to avoid p/p. As I and others have repeatedly advised you this is virtually impossible in the UK

I have answered it. It is not approved for e/b UK.

Read e/b's rules for what options you have available

Oh! and offering google checkout will get you indefinitely suspended

I've repled to your PM

Just to add to that reply

If the advise you had from the 'experienced user' was a viable solution as an alternative p/p do you not think that every UK seller would be doing it that way?

The reason they're not is it won't work

UK is not like USA. UK customers are narrow-minded whining idiots. They cant do 'different' & give sellers high volume of sales unless they have the paypal dummy to suck.

this was the thread that was mentioned.
ebay 'says' you can have the payment options. Utilising them is another story.
