That reminds me when I told a seller a problem I had with a $150 item. It was a piece of testing equipment which I had to fix and buy parts for. He said it was in perfect working condition (although, I don't think he knew exactly how the item worked so I don't think he was trying to scam).
I explained to him how it was unfair that I thought the item needed no work and that the whole reason for paying so much money was to get an item that I didn't need to spend four hours on. There were many on Ebay that had described flaws for much cheaper that I didn't bid on because I felt lazy at the time and just wanted something that worked.
He replied with a 100% refund! Of course, I felt bad cause that wasn't what I was looking for, so I sent him $100 back as I thought this was fair. I told him I left him 100% positive feedback and thanks so much for everything. He said thanks and refunded me $50 back as he thought this was fair cause he didn't accurately describe the product!
So that's the note we ended on. lol. Yeah, sometimes people are surprisingly honest and sincere.
Any word from the OP? Did you ask?
