Thumbs down Can I go on other computers after opening new ebay acct?

This was addressed in some threads I found from 2009/10, but want to reconfirm and have more ?:

I'm a bit paranoid because of recent ebay acct suspended & 2 amazon accts (b4 getting books)

I have 3 store locations - all in the same state - about 15 minutes from each other. I opened a new ebay/pp acct at store 1 - after cleaning cookies, flash cookies, and changing ip and user acct (note that my ips change by them self or can be changed manually at each store)

Can i access this new acct at the other 2 stores without any problems - if I first change ip - then delete cookies & flash cookies - then set up new user acct at the other stores? Do in that order?
Can i also access with my laptop using wifi from other places (mcd's - starbucks etc)?

After that do I need to worry about the ip addresses anymore - does it matter if they change all the time? Based on what i read in book and in forum it should be ok - just don't delete cookies anymore?

Thankx

me personally I would stick to my own computer and user screen for that acc for ebay, but it is possible to have same set up on all your machines if you need to.

as for amazon that is even more important to do...I would stick to one computer for az

as for starbucks wifi - no, mainly for security reasons

why dont you get inkfrog etc so you can do majority of listing anywhere, and save log ins for dedicated screens..?

...those are the ancient ways. Here a simple one. Get a Laptop and Verizon USB Modem! Create new user for each eBay account and connect using the USB Modem. The IP address changes every time you connect and disconnect. (If you are on 4G network disable the 4G to connect to 3G which gives you a more selection of IP address). Now you can take your accounts anywhere!

There are many programs available to remotely access any desktop from another location.

Thanks to all for the info, but still have questions -

If I am physically at the other 2 locations - can I use the computers there to go on to my ebay acct without any problems? - even though I set up ebay acct at the 1st location?

Is it okay if the ip address changes everytime you log in? Didn't know if that would throw up a red flag.

And is it ok to use a lap top to look at acct or list items when at a public place using their wifi?

If you use multiple comps at different locations, you may get flagged for unauthorized access so I would not.

Yes IP change can be ok - I focus more on keeping cookies.

Yes - if you dont log in.

This works very very well.... Now I have moved on to iphone which is even better IMO...

I started out with dial-up so it was good to go through all the learning process.

1. Even if I set up a user acct on those other computers?

2. ok

3. So, I can not log into my ebay acct and do any listings or check messages etc - with laptop at mcd's or hotel (if out of town) etc?

You can login to your eBay accounts anywhere, anytime. Some people do it all the time with no issues. However its a risk that eBay will link you with some bozo who used Starbucks internet before and got limited, or it will raise a security flag and ask questions on your next login.

You can, as long as you have your own mobile broadband, just make sure you browse around for awhile first or bring your secret? answer with you. If you try to sell or revise a listing right after clearing cookies they'll ask for the secret answer.
