It is probable a user may need to discuss the matter (further) with paypal.

I agree 110% with your post correction in thread 21 on here reweeping statements.

That generalisation raised an eye brow with me as well as there are countless stories on the board of PP NOT releasing funds after the 180 day period.

Very worrying trend of making inaccurate statements.

Yes, there are inaccuracies being filtered out here, the end user really does need to be vigilant & use the search button & read around before making any firm conclusions anywhere.

What I am going to do is either email or call PayPal and tell the I don't want to send them the docs and see if I can appeal the decision then maybe I can get the parting ways email and hopefully a release date

There really is no real appeal in a situation like this where they are asking for ID documents to verify your ID.

The most likely thing to happen here is that they will suspend/ban indefinitely the PP A/C & they will NOT release the funds for an unspecified indefinite period as already advised at the top of your first post.

With one of the accounts it was in a friends name (Bad Idea) when it got limited i sent them all the info the requested which was all legit. I thought they would restore the account but they didnt.
When a phone call was made to paypal to see the status of the account they said the were parting ways and the money would be available 180 days.
Even though paypal stated that on the phone no emails has been sent regarding the funds.
Would it be safe to assume that 180 those funds will be released or no?

To be honest with you, without wanting to rehash or recycle the same information, I'd say GB's point in post 21 on this thread is most pertinent to your situation.

The email starts off with your account is limited until we hear from you. ---that is a starting point in addition to & in lieu of all of the other advice on this thread & other threads across the board (which I'd consult as well).

From my experience PayPal has changed a lot with emails and notices about your account like if it's limited or even when it's time to withdraw. In fact the last few times I got the email it was like 2 weeks after the 180 days.

Oge is right on.

/quote from the OP : Now there are a couple other that have been limited but i have not received an email stating when they will be releasing the funds. The email starts off with your account is limited until we hear from you.

PP is doing this because there is a flag in place that "expects" you to contact them and follow steps to resolve the limitation- even when NO appeal is allowed. Dumb glitch in the system. You will receive a further e-mail with the 180 days clause.
