Default User accounts

So i bought another laptop for some future plans (used xp one, havn't used xp for years now) - so setup user accounts as i normally do.

However the problem when i start the pc, it just logs on the first admin account automatically, should it not go to windows screen and give you a choice on what user you want to log on? like windows 7 does?

Perhaps xp is abit different? but surely there must be a way of it just going to the user account choice screen first rather than it logging in automatically on the admin one.

Any input would be nice cheers.

its in user accounts

start by opening your run box and enter control userpasswords2

When the user accounts window opens tick the box which states 'Users must enter a username and password to use this computer' and apply the setting.

Well i added a password on the admin (main user account that always just logs in on its own) now the user account screen comes up giving me options to which user i want to log on :D

I can live with the password.

I like Windows XP - one of my laptops have 20+ user accounts. The key is when you setup the user account, give it ADMIN privileges...then you won't need a password for each account - annoying step.

20+ accounts? Is user accounts 100% enough (provided you use a different ip address each time to connect, which a Virgin Mobile USB broadband does) to keep all 20 accounts COMPLETELY separate? 20 accounts is a lot of work to set up, do you think that if something happens and one goes down, that the other 19 are completely and securley isolated from it? Arent there some kind of device indicators on the computer, RAM, processor, Windows Software ID or ANYTHING that Eb*y can see, even if they arent supposed to....?
