Default Paypal Email

I just received a email saying ''Welcome to Paypal'' somebody is using my email that I didn't use for paypal under a name from China???


I think this is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and I called paypal and told them about this..

Does any 1 know anything about this? Info will be greatly apprechiated Thank you.

Phishig emails happen

So enlighten us as to what paypal said.


Go back to the email and look at how it is worded.... there will be errors

There always are but they are getting more sophisticated.

I guess most forumites are pretty experienced in this and tend not to get caught but vanilla people who aren't as suspicious as we are tend to be the ones these are aimed at

Ok.. PayPal said to me it was not a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ email but somebody did use my email that I haven't used for PayPal and the person was trying to phish for my info.. First of all I don't even know how he got that email..

And its pretty easy to get email address if your not looking for one specific... well even then its pretty easy...

emails can be found.

Go google 'hacked emails'.

The other thing you MUST do is delete that email. It's dead for you now.
Make sure you do this. Dot ignore the advice

Upgrade your passwords on your other emails.
Improve your internet security at once.

No I didn't I just opened the email but didnt click anything and them deleted it.. And I changed everything on that email I still have it..
