Default Too angry yesterday to write about this stupid customer

I sold a customer an item on Aug.30 over labor day weekend. So it ships on Sept. 2. Well it is shown on USPS tracking to be at the Brooklyn PO where he lives on Sunday night. So the dumb ass opens a case last night? How does ebay open a case when an item is tracking for only 4 days and no the customer did not ask or pay for expedited shipping I don't offer it. Just so stupid of EB & the DA buyer.

Yes you are correct. The buyer won on Sat. 7am and did not pay until 7pm. Okay? Damn what's wrong with you people? The f'ing moron opened a case and EB let him. WTF is wrong with this picture? Tell me I'm the only one that thinks this is so wrong. Account opened 120 days has 38 sales and 34 + FB's.

relax mate, it's all good. Go smoke some out of the peace pipe.
Here is something that will make your day a bit better. About a month or 2 ago I sold a product to one of those morons that you are dealing with right now. The listing had only one main image. It was a snap shot of the product and a ruler right next to it to show the size. A week later after the sale I got negative saying that the item is too small in size lol
So yeah mate, buckle up, it's a rough ride. Note all people as bright as you would hope

Okay my bad. Didn't see a joke. Not funny at all. It only takes one like this to take out an account. I just can't even imagine an idiot like that can operate a keyboard in the 1st place.

What???

You sell on eBay and think the buyers have an IQ?

Be serious

More to the point. What are you calmly doing to resolve the issue?

I don't feel better knowing that there are at 2 confirmed idiots on EB. But thanks Artann. GB what can I do? It showed out for delivery today. I said I was sorry he is displeased and that I am not in control of USPS and he should have it Monday. What else? Give him a discount because it's taking 5 business days to Brooklyn. NY outer burroughs have the worst delivery service. Sometimes I notice that it's 2 more days from when was received in NYC to get to OB's.

@joesshooze

It's all about how you communicate to the buyer. Things happen; items get delayed or not sent out at the right time. Some buyers are demanding.

Just selling an item on ebay doesn't mean you are completed w/ the transaction. Once the item is bought, doesn't mean the transaction is complete. You become a Customer Service Rep. for your item. It is your responsibility to make the buyer happy w/ their purchase.

Ebay is geared towards the buyer and you are judged (based on DSRs) on how well your buyer's experience is with you. Remain calm and treat the buyer like they are royalty when replying to them. It will go a long way in gaining their trust and ultimately, their satisfaction.

We all can share our horror stories, but keep in mind its how you interact w/ the buyer that is most important. Best of luck in this situation.

We all have problematic buyers - venting is fine but time to address the ship, making him/her/it/they happy and move on.

Oh and block the bidder from here on - dont forget

I get idiot buyers EVERY DAY! One idiot wanted "their money back". How much you ask? 99 cent! I was going to telling him, "I am going to give you $5 just to shut up".

Another idiot left me negative feedback because he paid $1 and not 99 cent like my listing states.

1. How is it my problem that eBay charged you 1 cent extra than advertised?

2. You leave negative the day after you paid and never even bother to contact me.

I think a lot of buyers on eBay aren't only idiots and morons but they also use eBay as an outlet to troll and abuse sellers because they can't do it in real life.

Thank you eBay!

@stanislav, I feel the anger but...could it be that your products at 99 cent are attracting these loser buyers? Maybe drop the product line if so much issues?

Why drop the product line?

Gives Stanislav reason to vent

Be serious rsot.

I am actually LOSING MONEY on this product @ this price. The only one reason I am selling it is to improve my overall DSR. However you are correct the lower the cost for each product the more "losers" you attract.

Maybe I am wrong but many years ago eBay had better quality buyers than today. It seems like either it's the slow recovering economy or maybe a lot of good buyers left eBay and now it only attracts cheap buyers.

I keep asking myself what is eBay management thinking. They invested billions of dollars to improve eBay's appearance but never bothered to improve advertisement. eBay used to be regarded as the place to shop. But not anymore.

This explains a lot. You will encounter these buyers more and more and MORE as you grow your business and become better at what you do.

Ouch. Don't do this. Similar to the sales mantra "ABC" or "Always be closing" you should "ABMM"... "Always be making money"

Definitely related to economy and related to trust - I remember golden buyers who would trust with money orders in the mail...what a time.

Siiigh then came the counterfeit wal-mart MO's and bounced checks...

I had a guy send me a $5 western union check that he stopped payment on after I deposited and I lost like $50 to bounced check fees. AND I lost the item and international shipping costs because I was shipping it to Canada.

And the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Walmart MO's ("Oops I sent you a MO for $500 instead of $50 can you just take an extra $100 and send me the change ASAP?") that I have signed by a walmart manager because he thought they were so real looking they should be added to the company's fraud register.

Ugh Omgoozle those were rare - I had that happen too...what I did was tell the buyer that only international postal money orders would clear right away - other checks were held for 3 weeks...real buyers would say no problem - do you take cash? I remember receiving up to 4 figures in cash...I was shocked but it was registered.

Fraudster buyers would not reply.

Very smart - have to verify everything...not fall for the amount of $ involved.

I think so too .... Maybe economy is recovering but it's nowhere near like it was before it almost crashed in late 2008 if I am not mistaken. I used to sell on eBay in 2007. Our Canadian and US economy was booming. Why? Because it was easy to get line of credit, any types of loans, credit cards etc ... People had so much extra money back then.
