Default What is ebays goal of doing this?

Account 98 feedbacks 100% positive
4.9+ DSR all categories
total sales $30k+
Paid the ridiculous fees on time every time
Perfect condition account 2 transactions away from power seller.

Received 3 buyer cases this month. For stupid reasons. Buyers seem to open them without contacting the seller all the time it seems. All they wanted was returns because it didn't fit or was wrong size or just didn't like it. Simple returns that all it took was a message to me. Even says it in the auction itself.

As a result of that, my seller limit went from 10k to 3k a month.

Does ebay really care so much for their buyers that they punish the seller for no good reason? Do they not like the ridiculous amount of fees I was paying them monthly? I don't understand the way they operate. Their business plan/practice really confuses me.....

When you try to contact a seller and choose the topic/subject "Not as Described" or something like that, it automatically opens the case. I found this out a few months ago, and thought it was retarded.

As for their long term "plans", no clue, they probably trying to get rid of the small/medium seller and just work with the big stores (Buy, Adorama, etc. )

Because the buyer contacted you, a case got opened.

They started this about last September.

Now the hassle is, the BUYER does not even know this has happened.

Makes it a pain to try to resolve.

Maybe consider going over your listing to see if changes are needed.

You know how we have to spoon fed buyers, Loopie.

Sorry to hear about your limit decrease. Ebay REALLY don't care about their seller, specially small parties...Same thing happened to me last Dec. Had one top rated acc. among 5 acc. Just because of one stupid buyer complain ebay downgraded my items/$$ limit then suspended in 4 days later...

Wow... is ebay is getting this bad now? This is going to be annoying. In my opinion not a very smart decision on their part. What is their goal of doing this because I don't see how this can bring in more profits for them. This website will never be amazon. Its not made like amazon. Why are they trying to change it so much. Who is making all of these decisions?

They paid big bucks to hire a consulting firm to help them change their images.

Now they are going backwards again.

That consulting firm was just a hoax.

This would make sense. What is the firms name?
