They were not in my state but i found one about 1 hours drive from my house, so i went there and opened the account. They dont care if there is not a branch in your state, they will still send you all your info by mail and more importantly, your ATM debit card! They are opening more branches monthly inside Wal-mart stores. As a matter of fact, the one i drove to was in SC. Yeah, look at their branch locator page, says they are in alot of states.23423

Vumber doesn't work for me anymore. Just tried to confirmed a seller's account with it and it didn't forward the call. I had no problem with it last year.

GreenBean 03-03-2009 06:27 AM

stepi, was it the trial account or a permanent account? vumber had fees increase so maybe you have not enough credit?

stepia 03-03-2009 08:07 AM

It was a permanent account that I had for months. Even though, they've been still charging me only $4.99/m, their service seems to work for me ok. I tried to call my vumber from my other phone and they did forward it fine, however, as I said, they do not forward calls from eBay anymore. I sent an email to the Vumber tech support to see if it's a glitch.

GreenBean 03-03-2009 08:13 AM

Please let it be a glitch,PLEASE.

ebaykilla 03-03-2009 08:15 AM

I couldn't use vumber either..after months of success.

siashay 03-03-2009 08:32 AM

open a ebay account yesterday to test the vumber issue and had no luck. Did not forward my call. I used a few cell phones to try to foward and they all worked. Went into ebay and had them call again and it didn't work again.

stepia 03-03-2009 09:41 AM

I just received a confirmation from Vumber tech support. They now block eBay verification numbers.

Has anyone tried Virtual Phone Line or Innoport ?

aspkin 03-03-2009 02:54 PM

A lot of these online phone options cease to exist after a while.. it's getting annoying..

Luckily we have lots of options.. keep on rolling.

GreenBean 03-03-2009 06:23 PM

Lloyds savers are a def no-no. mattyman had his paypal attempt rejected and my 2 test accounts are also failures.

aspkin 03-03-2009 06:31 PM

Thanks, noted.

Here We Go Again 03-03-2009 06:41 PM

If V-Number no longer works for eBay confirmation phone calls what is the next option?
I have been using them for a while and have not had to try and locate a different online call forwarding company.....

Who is #2 on the "Cool It Works" list?

aspkin 03-24-2009 03:28 PM

Hmm..

philly387 03-30-2009 10:56 PM

I signed up for a phone forwarding service: http://www.my1voiceCentral.com. and it worked for passing the ebay phone verification!

ebaykilla 03-31-2009 05:14 PM

sounds good..now that it is on the forum I am sure ebay will be have it in it's sights to shut it down.

Means to An End List

Good news guys, Suntrust online bank accounts work with paypal. I opened 14 checking and saving accounts with them, and all is good so far.

GreenBean 04-03-2009 06:11 PM

Double-check on tollfreeforwarding as a phone verification? Did that not get blacklisted?:pout:

stepia 04-03-2009 06:51 PM

Where did $5 for a new Vonage number come from? Vonage plans have a feature called "Virtual Number". Each new virtual number costs $9.99. Vonage plans start at $18/month.

aspkin 04-05-2009 06:50 AM

A suggestion, is there a way to "date stamp" when you update the list? thanks

lakeman 04-08-2009 01:55 AM

I think he probably used a search for the word "Wamu" and so the page it pulled up for him off the search results automatically highlighted that word in bold red each time it appeared.

BRod1976 04-09-2009 02:14 AM

I would back off Cap 1 guys. My accounts are frozen. Luckily only a few hundy in there but a rep called me asking why deposits were being made in other names than mine and said I could not get my money out until it was investigated.

aspkin 04-09-2009 04:57 PM

Capital One?

Did you have a lot of money moving into the account?
