Did you have a lot of money moving into the account?

I think i had reported this earlier, Capital One will contact you or block your account from receiving payments in un-related names, i would remove them from the list.

I can confirm, this. Capital One just slammed me for having a few savings accounts and getting deposits from different names, they are a no go from my experience.

gurusgrafx 04-19-2009 08:26 PM

was adding a number with my1voice today, noticed they do numbers for Canada too. One of you guys might want to check that out and add it to the list.

aspkin 04-19-2009 08:59 PM

Thanks, list updated.

800service?

Not sure if 800 numbers are still working or ever.

But PNG offers an 800 service which piggy backs on you number. Dont know if they can see the base number or not but 2.95 per month.

Can anyone confirm barclays savers work like it says on the 'Means to an End List' ?

Or does it need updating?

oompaloompa 05-24-2009 04:45 AM

call barclays and ask if their savers accepts direct debit and you will know, thats all its about, My suggestion to aspkin is to take all UK savers off list

GreenBean 05-24-2009 05:26 AM

Subject to checking the saver accounts for the UK, I have made a note on the Means to An End list. Will update when banks re-open Tuesday:peace:

Worked fine for me.

recently? thanks.

Schills 06-04-2009 04:41 PM

Wachovia DOES NOT WORK!

The only way to confirm a wachovia account is via trial transfers on paypal.

When paypal deposits the money into your account. If you receive money from another name that is not your own they will delete your accounts and no longer allow you to use wachovia.

To help the USA users, the URL with information to obtain a credit report is now on the 1st page of this thread.:peace:

trig 06-05-2009 06:57 AM

Thanx Schills.

Schills 06-16-2009 02:40 PM

Ummm, I thought I'd mention that I highly reccomend using Bank of America. They send you all the documents right to your house no need to ever go in... You can get a check card and send transfers online to different accounts.. Easy to use and no limit how many accounts you can have with them.

Also when paypal verifys bank of america you have the option to login to confirm your account and it always works for me.

Bank of America is by far the best banking service to use with paypal I think.

philly387 06-16-2009 02:50 PM

I have to agree with Schills on this one...Chase is pretty good too

now 06-18-2009 02:10 PM

That is funny about Capital One. I have followed everyones awesome advice and got to 9 Stealth accounts. Well about a week ago one of the accounts was limited on paypal. I was in deep oh **** mode, saying maybe I screwed up and all the others were going to go down too. And all the hard work would be gone. Well just saw this thread and lo and behold the account that went down was the only account with Capital One. So your words are wise, and that must be it. Other banks that are working fine for me are Sovereign and TD Bank. Thanks for all the support.

aspkin 06-18-2009 08:53 PM

So I've been pretty persistent with ING Direct for months now. I just like the ability to open accounts and use them right away without any problems. That is until I linked ING to a PayPal account under a different name. They do not like that at all and I knew that already, but I didn't have problems with another account under a different name so I didn't think it was a big deal. Wrong..

The very next morning after PayPal sent the verification deposits I got a call from ING, they asked me about recent deposits not in my name. I told them I opened a PayPal account under a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name because I didn't trust PayPal, etc and they said okay, just to update my PayPal details to match my ING account.

Basically update my name on the account and I would be fine.

They don't mind people using PayPal or any other online service, they just want the funds to come in YOUR name, or a similar name I found.

For example Bob is okay for Bobby, or Tom and Tommy

As long as the name is a nickname, I use nicknames a lot.

I just thought I let people know if you still wanted to use ING.

They're not dead if you follow their rules, and their rules are don't do business in other people's names.

GreenBean 06-18-2009 08:58 PM

^^^And have a valid contact phone number,yes?
Scenario: what might have happened if you could not receive the phone call? It's obvious to me but.....;)

aspkin 06-18-2009 09:01 PM

Of course, have a valid everything with ING direct or any other bank you work with.

If they couldn't contact me, they would have shut my account down. They let me know this. :)

GreenBean 06-18-2009 09:05 PM

Cheers, aspkin. Just hope that any others reading get the picture.

No means to be contacted by a bank could see the account closed.:pout>

Schills 06-19-2009 12:33 AM

Might want to mention this...

866 Numbers do not work I think... like 1-(866)-535-5351

2/2 866 numbers have not worked on ebay.

Schills 06-24-2009 07:53 PM

Thought I would give another update on Bank of America,

I called bank of america and asked them if they would accept funds from paypal in ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names, They said yes we will never turn down any incoming transactions if its in another name because other people can always deposit money into your account.

So ⊗⊗⊗⊗ names with bank of america and withdrawing money into them is totally fine. :)

Its easy to open BoA accounts, limit is 2 successfully a day or they will think it was an error, I open 1 a day though.

fyoufragu 06-27-2009 01:11 AM

I just read in a couple of threads the prepaid gift cards we've all been relying on for some time for example Gift2Go are dead. Has this been confirmed? the list here hasn't been updated with any new info.

aspkin 06-27-2009 03:46 AM

It looks like prepaid cards for eBay verification are no good.

Instead use your PayPal account for verification. You can still add prepaid cards to PayPal without an issue.

Okay yeah my main need for them is Paypal so that's good at least.

CA Phone Verification:
Toll Free Numbers, Virtual PBX, Business Phone Service - Virtual Phone System by RingCentral 9.99$/mo + 7 days free trial

worked like a charm for 6 stealth accounts

can also confirm my1voice does not work for canadians

GreenBean 08-16-2009 12:30 AM

Another good job,Tigerlord. Updated the list again. Thanks.:thumb:

TigerLord 08-16-2009 01:30 PM

ringcentral allows you to add a new number for 4.99$ to your account.

So if you want to have working phone numbers for all your stealth account from one provider and control them all in the same control panel, this is your best option.

You should mention it in the next guide, but make sure to disable to "thank you for calling ringcentral" message in the preferences option as to not alert suspicion.

captainjack1980 08-16-2009 01:51 PM

Ringcentral is fab for UK users to...

Lots of options you can customise to make managing multiple ebay/paypal accounts easier and lets you specify caller ID for ringing out.

CaptainJack.

TigerLord 08-16-2009 02:13 PM

I can confirm the following Canadian banks work very well for withdrawing from paypal and confirming:

ScotiaBank
Royal Bank of Canada
Laurentian Bank
ING Direct
CIBC
TD Canada Trust (already in the list, but it still works fine)

Just wondering if you tried multiple times or some other extra steps when trying my1voice.

I've used my1voice verified a couple of accounts in the past 2 weeks without big problem in USA. But one thing I do experience is that sometimes I have to try multiple times(Click "try again", or log out of ebay then back in) to get a phone call through. It seems like my1voice is not working perfectly with eBay but still works at least in USA.

TigerLord 08-16-2009 06:57 PM

I did. I changed the type of attendant to extension...

whatever phone number my1voice gives Canadians (only 866- numbers) they're reported as INVALID PHONE NUMBERS by eBay.ca

TigerLord 08-19-2009 02:51 PM

As reported by vel, cellphones will not work to confirm Paypal accounts anymore (in the US). They still work in canada.

Might be worth an update! :peace:

philly387 08-19-2009 03:06 PM

Wait wait wait...time out...

You need to verify PayPal accounts now too???

TigerLord 08-19-2009 05:33 PM

I assumed he meant eBay, but he did write Paypal in his post. That or I misunderstood.

Vicvelcro 08-19-2009 06:21 PM

Somewhere in one of these threads, I mentioned that cell phones can no longer be used to confirm location for Paypal. Even if you've had that phone on file with them and used it to confirm in the past.

Confirm Location != Verify
