I would love to try Netgear because I don't have to worry about double reboot. I am not sure if eBay is selling them anymore. I will give it a try.

You can easily spoof your LAN card's MAC address without needing external programs.
Just go to Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right click on your LAN Card and click properties > press the Configure Button > Advanced tab > Locally Administered Address

There will be a box on the right with the word "Value" above it. Enter any valid MAC address string here and this will be what your cable modem sees.

Try installing the latest drivers directly from Intel's website.
The drivers provided by manufacturers generally have a lot more features (or bloatware) than the ones automatically provided by windows.

sorry to bring up this old topic but I was looking at the Netgear modem Tony stated and it looks to me that the '4-port' are Switch ports which I assumed it has an internal DHCP/LAN of ip address of 192.168.x.x.. so if you connect your computers to those 4 ports you would get the 'private IP' of 192.168.x.x and not the public IP from comcast. so let say if you have 2 computers connected to that modem and running at the same time, both computers are actually using the same Public IP. because I don't think it's possible to get 4 complete public IP from comcast on 1 account

It is possible to get 4 completely different IP's but they would be "Static" which would cost a lot more money. In the traditional sense whatever the Public IP is for 1 machine will also be for all those connected to the same Modem.

There are other more effective methods such as:
1. Mifi's/Dongles
2. Tethering
3. Dial-up

Does the OP's method work? I downloaded the software and changed the MAC address but my IP is still the same.

To update the pictures
==============================
Here I share the way I get new IP address using Cable Internet and running multiple account on one PC and one user account.

If you have better way please share

Again, This thread just apply to people who using Cable Internet only. Suddenlink is what I have.

I have a cheapest cable plan, less than $30/month and bought my own modem on eBay for less than $30. I prefer the Netgear CG814xxxx model because it have 4 RJ45 port so you can have 4 different PC connect at the same time and get 4 different IP address. Just search "Haxoware Netgear" on eBay you will find it.

I'm not using a router or wireless router. Just connect direct from PC to the modem. This way, when I need a new IP I just change the MAC on that PC.

1 Connection = 4 Output = 4 IP at the same time is good enough for me. I always can get more IP by running multiple VMware if I needed to.

I'm running multiple account with 1 user account but using FireFox Portable. Make 1 folder for each account and rename to folder name. Created shortcut for all of them on the Desktop (Account 1, Account 2.........)

I use TMAC Changer V5 to change MAC address

First time run the software (All the MAC are org and only 1 is up, all others are disable)

Click on the "Change MAC" button

Click on "Random MAC Address" button

Click "Change Now" button

Click "Yes" when it want you to confirm

Click "OK" when done

Click "Create/Edit" button

Check "MAC Address", "Enable DHCP" check box. Select "Use" option and enter the name you want in the "Preset Name" field and "Save" it

Add as many account/MAC as you want. Next time if you want to change your MAC to get new IP. Just select the account you want from the drop down list

Hit me up if you have any question about this method.

The only problem here for me is that I only have like... six different public IP addresses which have all been used...

- Are you using Cable Internet?
- What is your provider?
- How did you used all 6 different IPs? at the same time?
- How do you know you only have 6 IP?
