Hiya,

How strange, I was about to message you & will do so in a moment, ....I would class it as a 'soft' limitation at the moment, I can still access the accounts but I cannot make any outbound payments to anyone, really annoying as I needed to make some payments yesterday.

Let me message you now....

If it says "This limitation cannot be appealed against" then it isn't a soft limitation and your accounts are toast.

@Ebayorbust I simply cannot make ANY payments to anyone as I could the day before (i.e. Tueday). I have no warnings or anything so far from Paypal, other than a vague, 'if you continue to have problems making payments, please contact us'. or words to that effect.

@GreenBean Different dates, different times. The first Paypal account I experienced an issue with it this Tuesday & by then I had spent some £65+ between Friday & Monday on online purchases. I'll send you a more detailed email now & you can tell me what you think by return reply.

I wonder if Paypal are having issues with a software update of some kind?

If they are anything like EBay - well enough said really.

They obviously won't broadcast this if they are.

Have we had others making similar reports yet?

Mind I do think the entire paypal system is about to have a massive brain fart and drop off the planet.

I wonder if the PP UK is have an audit due to end of the year...or perhaps manual agents reviewing and causing issues - or some sort of security tripwire in the system that is auto-shutting down accounts

Or all of the above?

It is Christmas.

We've now moved from thinking they're checking credit or info submitted to potential tech issues in their system... talk about theories people, lol

With EBay or Paypal the first hurdle is to decide whether they are competent enough to know what they are doing lol.

I've just found some daming evidence to support this theory or it's a massive coincidence. I will post this evidence in the morning when I get on my computer see what you all think to it.

Nope, I did read the link vaguely but will read it in full in the morning. It's just a series of emails I found in my junk folder just before each of my 3 accounts went down.

No, wrong premise.

They ARE the puppet master.

It's their moves we must interpret.

Late I know, someone make sense of this:

Received this email in my spam folder on the date / times shown. Looks like spam / scam mail but less than 12 hours later the account goes down. I've run a google search on the email address & can't find nothing.

Exactly the same thing happened on my other account.
