I have read about ebay getting into matching hard-drive serial numbers. Just rumors for now nothing solid. Technology exists. They just need to follow Amazon finger print method.
But look how low they rated on sales site for 2014. Fifth Place I believe so they don't want to lose too much. Especially cutting work force.
